Title: New Job!
Post by: kjstrukel on May 10, 2019, 04:57:15 am
Hey all -- we recently relocated to our hometown in Indiana and I started a part-time job yesterday.  Its a great job and I am excited.  Not as much time to earn my pennies on FC, but I still plan to do enough to cash out every couple of months!!

Best wishes on your new job and your move!  I bet you're glad to be back in your home town.

Wow!  Congrats to you!  Just proves that Trump's economy is providing real job opportunities to all.  It takes time to roll out, but he's at the midpoint of his term in office so there it is -- a pot of gold at the end of the :rainbow:.

I went to visit my sister in Hammond, Indiana and just for grins I talked to some people that lived there while my wife was shopping. I asked them how they liked living there and every one of them said they hated it. Then I asked why they didn't move and they all said they didn't know, it was just too much effort.

I hope it turns out better for you.

Haaa.  My husband has family members in Indiana as well.  They come across as though they live in some kind of utopia.  smh.  ???

When I observe their body language and facial expressions, I beg to differ.  If you ask me, (which I know you're not), I really think that they are soooo insecure and just want everyone else to think that they have so much better going for them.

It really does stink to be some people doesn't it?   :bad:

Best of luck to you! You might not wanna be here making pennies any more, but some find it hard to break habits and stick around. After all, every penny counts!

Hammond is not the nicest place in Indiana, it is close to Gary and Chicago and seems to have a pretty high crime rate.  I grew up near Notre Dame and Amish Country.  It is really beautiful here and many friends from LONG ago.  My hubby has dementia, so I wanted to be around old friends and family as we go through this journey.  Not thrilled about the winters, but my plan was to move in the Spring so we could "ease" into winter.  Wish us luck!

BTW - I am happier now than I was in Florida!
