I am truly sorry to hear that Dorris Day passed away. My Prayers are with her Family. She did live to be very Old though. I Pray to The Lord that he will let me live to a Ripe Old Age
-
I heard this on the news this morning. So Sad .. Sweet Lady.
-
It was her time to die. We all have to die, and many people manage to live to be at least 90 nowadays, but any death is still sad.
-
She will be missed, a great actress. Her movies were always clean not like they are today. She had a great sinig voice too. Will be missed.
-
I had just heard this before I came on the site. She was a wonderful woman and so much fun to watch in the movies. :star:
I was gonna post about it but, as usual, someone beat me to the punch.

I'm sorry to hear this. I loved to watch her and Rock Hudson in the movies they starred in. As for the person who commented it was time for her to die, I think that is a terrible thing to say and a very poor attitude.

My parents were really sad about Doris Day dying. They seen a lot of her movies. I have never seen anything she was in though.
-
I heard this just this morning I am so very sorry for her family and friends but she was 97 so she led a very long and productive life and done many things that were so great

We all have to die sometime. Why should there be such a thing as immortality?! Doris Day was old and therefore wouldn’t have had a good chance of living much longer. I even said that I still found her death sad.

One of the true elegant actress really enjoyed her movies and how well she carried herself
-
Beautiful lady, may she rest in peace. She certainly lived a long life.
-
Lovely lady. She had such a bright and beaming smile. Her movies are usually a little too fluffy for me, but I will watch one every now and then. I have always admired her love for animals. Although I was a little disappointed to hear that she wouldn't stay with her pets when they were euthanized. I know how hard it is, but I think we owe it to them to not abandon them in their final moments. Anyway, she lived a long and hopefully happy life. I read that she didn't want a funeral or a headstone. She doesn't need one. She's already been immortalized in her movies and songs.

Another sad day when a good person passes on. RIP to her.
-
I loved watching her when I was young.
-
She was such a class act and will be missed. It's sad to hear of so many names from the past leaving this plane of existence lately. RIP.
-
I heard she was not having a funeral or grave marker. She was a beautiful woman.
-
Sorry to hear about her passing. She was one of very few real stars we had left. At least she had a good long life.
-
I always liked Doris Day. 97, though, is getting pretty old. All of the stars from that era are getting to be the same age and dying off.
-
i didnt realize she was that old.
-
RIP - 97 wonderful years it sounds like
