I am getting survey after survey where they want your name and address to continue. I refuse to provide that info.
Has anyone completed these surveys?
-
I usually X out of these right away, The problem is often times they wait until the final page of the survey to SPRING this on us. That should be illegal, lol, epecially when they also want your email and phone number.
-
I have given this information sometimes but more recently have stopped because it involves too much. I also can not recall if I qualified for and got credit for those surveys.
-
Nope, usually skip them.

I sometimes give that info as I have a p o box address, but do not give out my physical address or phone number...not sure if that makes a difference but I don't get any telemarketers calling and feel more comfortable only giving out mailing address
-
I never complete surveys that ask for either my home address or my email address. I don't want to provide identifying information for my own protection. Also, it kinda makes the surveys feel less anonymous than they claim to be.

For me, that's a survey deal breaker. Most reputable surveys aggregate their data and prefer anonymous participants. The ones that ask for too much PII aren't worth doing.

I get that from time to time. I Love Tap Research and I will if I think the Company is Reputable give my Name and Address. Tap Research pays the best I think of all other Companies out there that I have come in contact with.

Did in the past, but not anymore

If you read closely you will see it says your data will be reported in aggregate. And your answers will not be linked back to your name. But they the ones reviewing the data know who you are.

I am surprised it takes that. Usually it will kick out a PO box and say it is not a real address. I have never given my phone number. For a while just doing the surveys on this site on car insurance I was bombarded with solicitations in the mail (after the surveys) from one of the companies it kept asking me if I would use.
I do get a ton of telemarketing calls even though I am on the DO NOT BOTHER list. But so does other people in my area that are not any any PTC sites.

I just did a survey the other day asking for address because I would get an additional $5 for completing it. I kept the email and am waiting to see if it happens. If not, I can easily email them and ash where's my money.
As for robocalls...I used to get hundreds a day. Xfinity/Comcast has a program called Nomorobo. If you download it, it directs robocalls to never never land or somewhere. Caller ID shows "Incoming Call" and the phone only rings once. I'm down to a couple persistent ones. Some calls do get through and they're usually because the area code is the same as mine. One call that is more like harassment I would get 4-5 times a day (my area code) but don't know anyone in that area. So, since I'm on the Federal AND state DO NOT CALL list, I reported them as harassment. I went through my phone and this company had 20 different numbers where the last 2 digits were different. I put all those numbers in the comment box. Haven't heard from them since. :)

I skip too. I dont think it is a good idea to put your address out there.

I ususally skip those, as well as anything that wants me to use my facebook account.
