This thread is all about making a different decision if you could go back to a different time.
Please finish the sentence:
If I could turn back the clock to an earlier time- I would.......
Invest in shares of Amazon stock. Back in the 90's Amazon was a fairly new company and people were saying it was a "fly by night" internet company that wouldn't last. The shares of stock were priced at below $30 per share. Now the stock is priced at 1823.24 per share.
Your turn. Please finish the sentence.

Adopted a child when I first thought about it. There are so many children out there that need love and I think I would have made a great parent; unfortunately I was never able to have children but I do love my God Children and helped out with them as much as possible when they were children.
-
Work as hard as I can to go in the service. I admire and thank all of the service men and women who serve.
-
Invest in Home depot stock.
-
I would have went to college before I had children and not after. I was able to finish but it would have been much easier if I did it before. I also would have traveled a lot more.
-
Bought land in Arizona years ago so I go there and retire now. The price of property has really increased over the years

f I could turn back the clock to an earlier time- I would.......
major in another field like computer science or IT

I don't think you really want to be in IT right now. I hear there are so many people in IT/Comp Science that it's hard to get an actual higher-wage IT job, and not just low-wage call center stuff.

If I could go back in time, I would probably do the opposite of everything I had ever done. Although if I did that, I would have never met my husband. So... I guess all my stupid mistakes led to at least one good thing. :)
Time travel would be so fun. I mean, you could really muck things up for everyone. LoL!
-
I would work harder at my marriage which was difficult. We stayed married but we both could have made a better go of it and worked harder because we did love each other.
-
If I could turn back the clock-I would "not make the same mistakes again".
Mistakes are hard lessons learned!
-
Just like you I would have paid more attention to the markets. It was something I took an interest in for a short time. Had kids instead. LOL... I would have been wiser with my money.
-
I wouldn't turn back time. It would probably be a horrible mistake.
I'm sure I would make many dumb mistakes again and think 'why did I want to turn back time?' :binkybaby:
So I'll just leave time to itself right now, thank you.

I would've married my husband the first time we were supposed to get married. I would also have starting saving for retirement earlier (back then, SS was the real retirement package). I would have stayed at the one job I really enjoyed if I had to work in brick & mortar. I would have retired with a great pension and that didn't include the surf and turf (steak and lobster dinner) Christmas party every year. I also would have bought penny stocks and precious metals.
As you can see, there's a lot of "If I could." :D

If I could turn back the clock to an earlier time I would go back to my early twenties and pick a different major in college and grad school. The one I picked gave very little opportunity for employment and I had trouble landing jobs the whole rest of my life. I would have picked a STEM field instead of a humanities one.
-
I really don’t think I’d go back and start over again and try to change anything what happened in my life has made me the person that I am today and I like this person
-
I would not get married the first time I did. Instead, I would have completed my education through my Master's Degree and worked for awhile, which hopefully would have allowed me more experiences, including travel. I guess i would have liked to remain independent in all my decisions a bit longer without the consideration of a husband and child.
-
I think I would have taken the advice of my Mother and would have gotten all of my required credits in high school and then I would graduate early.
For whatever reason, I thought that there was a sense of loyalty in my high school with classmates and teachers. I was a very good student - Honor Roll and Honor Society but one of the biggest things I did learn was that there wasn't much loyalty in my circle of influence.
-
have never been married
-
If I could turn back the clock to an earlier time- I would.......
I would have completed my four year degree rather than switching to just a two-year business diploma when my husband graduated and moved us to another state.
-
Invest in anything that would make me some big money.
-
I would not turn back time.
There are things I would have done different if I knew how things were going to be today. BUT if you done things different then your life would be totally different.
I remember answering a question when I was a Senior about where I would be in 5 years. I am not there now. lol
My life def is not what I thought it would be.
-
never had been married

I would attend a much cheaper, in-state college after I graduated from high school. I probably would not have been in the amount of student loan debt that I am in now.
-
I wouldn't turn back time at all. One little change changes everything. If I did things differently then I would not be the same person I am today, and I like who I am. :)
-
I hate to say it, but I probably wouldn't have married the man I did. We were divorced 10 years later and it sucks!

I hear you loud and clear. I take no pride in saying that from the time I committed myself early on to getting a good education (and that included nothing...and I mean nothing...standing in the way of my going on to university) I did do just that -- attend an in-state school with a reputation. I worked summer jobs in between school years and the last two years in college I was able to qualify for the work/study program. But this was so long ago that I have lost touch with what younger generations faced that has led them to accumulating so much student debt. I really feel for you because you've got to work your way out of a hole to begin your career or whatever your endeavors were from the start.
-
I would not be where or who I am today
-
If i could turn back the clock I would go back 2 years and stop my daughter from taking her life for no reason.
-
I would have done things God's way rather than my way.

Hello!
I would do the same exact thing but change how I view the situation because everything happens for a reason. Life is whatever you make of it.
-
I would have changed my major in college and graduate school to a STEM major so I would have been opportunities for employment.
-
Spend more time with people....though I like a lot fat comments shared here!
-
I would have chosen a different career path.
-
I would not have married a 2nd time. It was for all the wrong reasons and what's worse I had children involved that really loved the guy. (Probably more than I ever did) We had fun. But it was an expensive lesson. Sometimes I question if I truly took the lesson to heart.

Spend more time with my Mom. Miss her.
