Does it bother you when someone comes to your house and instead of coming to the door just sits in the driveway blowing the horn?
Or when lazy people visit your neighbor's and just sit in the road and blow the horn continuously for 10 minutes?
And before you say it, NO they are not handicapped. They are lazy.
I have actually told people and gotten pretty aggravated with people for doing that at my house. Either get out and come to the door, or call me and tell me you are in the driveway and are too lazy to get out and walk to the door and ask me to come outside.

I guess I am the only one who is bugged by this. lol
-
Well no one I know does that but it they did I would have to ask them to stop and never to do that again one because I think that it rude and second I live in the kind of neighborhood that wouldn't tolerate that lol our HOA would complain or try to fine us I'm sure.

Well I do not have a HOA and I don't think I would like it. But I don't want to draw attention to the fact that I am leaving either, say if someone is picking me up.
But yes it is rude. People do it at my neighbor's house ALL the time. I don't think the woman likes it too much. Her husband probably does not care.

I can't say i have experienced this problem, thank goodness! It would be terribly annoying! >:( >:(

When I typed this my neighbor had a person sitting in front of her home for about 10 minutes blowing the horn. People come by her house all the time and sit there and blow the horn. One visitor starts blowing half way up the road and blows til she gets in her drive way. Highly irritating.
-
I have never had that happen to me. If someone is coming over to visit me they come to the door. If they are just picking me up they usually send me the "I'm Here" text.
I do agree with you that it would irritate me if they sat in the driveway honking their horn.
-
Never had this happen and usually if I am being picked up I watch for the person so I am ready to leave when they pull in my driveway. They usually text or call and let me know that they are on the way.

I haven't experienced this in a long time, since I've moved from my old location. People where I live now live much farther apart. I'm not sure I'd notice if it did happen.
But yes it would bother me. I also don't like when people honk at you while you're driving. There's not usually a good reason for it unless they're chagrined with you for some reason. >:(

Never had this happen. Almost everyone has a cell phone, so they can just t call them and let the person know they outside.

We don't have much horn-blowing in my neighborhood, which is mostly families and elderly people. It does happen once in a while, and I just roll my eyes and continue on with what I'm doing. I don't think I know anybody personally who would be rude enough to blow the horn in the driveway or on the street to get someone's attention inside. But then again, I always try to be ready to go to their car the moment they pull into the driveway, so no "need" for a horn. :peace:

I don't have anyone who pulls up and starts blowing their horn. Either get out and come to the door or call me, or nowadays text me to let me know your outside. My family knows better. It was funny when I started dating and if a boy was to blow his horn, my dad would go out and talk to him. The young man would get out of his car and come to the door, then mother would answer the door and tell him he was early and he would have to wait until I was ready. I was always ready, but they (mom and dad) were teeming up to teach him manners. Sometimes I got the giggles but. It worked they would not blow the horn anymore.

I don't have this problem where we live now, but in our other home it happened a lot. Across the street were 2 teenaged girls. When their friends, boys or girls, came for them the car would sit in front of the house and blow the horn until one of the girls finally came out.

They may have a good reason for not getting out, in my neighborhood it does happen, but not for 10 minutes. They will pull up and honk once....a lot of the homes here have small children and with the heat we have been having you cannot just get out and leave the kids in the car. One honk is not really annoying to me, but 10 minutes would certainly be so.
-
If you come to my home sit in my driveway and blow your horn you can sit in my driveway and blow your horn I’m not going to acknowledge you unless you have a disability and I know this you will not get a response for me.

Hopefully those around you carry a can of RAID!!

I know the people personally. They are lazy. Like somebody else pointed out everybody has a cell phone so call and say hey I am in your driveway.

This has never happened to me and I would never answer a blowing horn, I deserve better than that.
-
I've never experienced that but it does sound annoying. I think it would be easier to just get out of the car.
-
it's 2019 you can easily just send a text saying you're hear like come on people
-
I hate when someone uses their horn period. I think it is a major detraction.
-
That's never been one of my pet peeves because I don't think I've ever experienced this. If someone came to my home and decided to blow their horn - I probably wouldn't even notice.
I do; however, have a neighbor who's security alarm goes off on their vehicle almost every night after midnight. That's a little bit disturbing and I don't understand why it happens so often.
-
Yes it would bother me if any of my friends came to pick me up and leaned on the horm rather than calling or texting that they had arrived. It makes you feel terribly rushed to have someone honking for you, not so much with a call or a text.

Probably an animal getting on or close to the car. There is a cat that gets on my car every night.

Well it would irritate me, but thank goodness people come to door and knock, or call me and let me know when or what time they will be coming by. And when Jehovah witness come and start knocking on the door, I will peak out the window and not answer the door. Haven't seen one that will sit in the car and blow car horn.
-
There are a lot of impatient people in this world.
I just let them have their way.
I have no time to fight with them!

If you arent interested in JWs,they will observe what Jesus said.....dust their shoes off and leave peacably.God forces NO one to listen to his word.
