I always like to try new foods so I tried one of the Impossible burgers. First of all, it didn't look like the burger in the TV ads. There was no texture to the patty and not much beef taste. All I tasted was the add on lettuce and tomato It was also too soft. I don't think $5.39 was worth the price. Won't get another one. Back to real fake burgers. ;)

I don't think I will try it, I am a meat person
-
I was hoping it would be good. I wanted to try it but the amount of negative feedback on the impossible burger I have read I just need to stay away. Thanks for letting us know what you thought of it.

I was interested in trying the burger but I've only heard negative comments about it so I think I'll pass.

Hmmmn haven't heard about it oh well may google it just for the heck of it as my curiousity is now peaked but I doubt I would bother trying it especially after your description. I don't eat fast food much anyway. If they call it impossible lol that tells me something right there LOL

Well of course it won't look like the one in the ad. So it doesn't taste like a burger? I was going to get one.

It is a whopper with a patty that is not meat.
-
wont try it ned regular beef. my favorite is in and out burger.
-
I've heard nothing but negative comments about this burger. Gonna pass and stick to beef burgers! Yum!
-
I haven't seen the ads so I wasn't aware that Burger King has a new burger offering. This is what I found on Google about it:
IMPOSSIBLE™ WHOPPER®
100% Whopper, 0% beef.
Our Impossible™ WHOPPER® Sandwich features a savory flame-grilled patty made from plants topped with juicy tomatoes, fresh lettuce, creamy mayonnaise, ketchup, crunchy pickles, and sliced white onions on a soft sesame seed bun. 100% WHOPPER®, 0% Beef.
-
I tried this recently, as I do not eat meat and I actually loved it! I personally thought it had a great taste. The texture and taste definitely reminded me of real beef.
-
I tried it. Just by itself it tasted flame broiled like the beef version but different since it's not beef obviously. When you add all the fillers lettuce, tomato etc you can't really get a taste from it.
-
I mean you're already going to a fast food joint with questionable burger quality to begin with. Although the impossible burger is its own thing and I wouldn't necessarily suspect burger king to bring its quality down.... its still BK.
-
Due to my youngest daughter being a vegetarian for over 10 years now, I have tried a variety of veg dishes. I have learned that some are nasty (my opinion), while others are pretty good! So what I'm saying is that I think I will try it sometime as this is an individual acquired taste, especially if you are a "died-in-the-wool" meat eater! We'll see! Maybe I'll come back and post my opinion if I try one soon.
-
Even on TV it doesn't look all that good, give me the real burger not something fake.
-
I had been interested in trying one as well, until I heard that the taste and texture were not good. Also, I had heard that there was a lot of genetic engineering going on with it, so that really has steered me away! I'm not a big fan of any of that genetic engineering stuff. :peace:

thanks for the heads up .. I was interested in trying it but will take a pass on it after the negative reviews.
As for the Burger King Tacos ... Don't waste your $1. I tried them and they were awful. I know someone that is a manger at a BK and she told me they come in frozen and they deep fry them. YUK
-
Yeah, the Burger King taco is horrible! Absolutely gross! Truly don't waste your $1 on it.
-
Burgers never look like what the ads picturing them looking like. I accept that, but they have to taste good. Judging from what I am reading the Impossible Burger from Burger King gets a hard pass from me.
-
It cost to much in the first place and why would anyone want a fake burger. Not me!
-
They hardly ever look as good as they do on tv. I don't think they will be around long getting those kind of reviews.
-
It wasn't that bad. It still tasted like a Whopper to me.
-
If I am going to have a hamburger I and going to have the real thing. I do not eat beef very much, but once in a long while I will order on. Mostly I eat chicken. But I would rather have an Arby's brisket slider and that is plenty of beef for me.
-
Thanks for letting us all know about this. From the ads, I thought I might try one of those burgers but now I won't even try it because of what you say about it.
-
Doubt that I would try it not much into Burger King.

Glad you tried it out and shared your info with others. You know they re going to make an item look delicious and once you buy itI always like to try new foods so I tried one of the Impossible burgers. I am glad you shared your info about the impossible burger. I really didn't see what it looked like on their ad. All the lettuce, tomato etc. covered what it really look and taste like.

I was thinking of trying the taco until I looked closely at it in the ad and saw there was barely any meat in it. We are meat and potatoes type people but I've never shied away from trying meatless. I had tried Morning Star Farms burgers years ago and didn't like them either. As for BK, we like them. We often order their nuggets with 1 side salad, then split the salad and break up the nuggets and throw them on the salad. Nice lunch, especially when the nuggets are on sale.

Thanks for posting this I had just asked this question on Facebook the other night if anybody had tried the impossible burger and I was wondering if it was any good I have heard nothing but bad things about it and pretty much everyone is in agreement of that I will not be trying this burger thanks again for this post
-
Blah. I have not even heard of it but does not sound too good.
-
Not interested, but my sister really liked it.
-
I've tried this. To me does not taste like meat at all. Its even worse with the new sausage version they came out with. All in all, i hate it
-
No haven't tried it and someone told me it was a waste of time and money.
-
I have heard a lot of people say this is not any good. And the cost is way more than a Whopper. Most of the imitation meat is loaded with sodium so it is way worse for you and then it doesn't taste good at all. I remember somebody told me the portabella (yes that is probably spelled wrong) mushrooms tasted just like a hamburger and you could not tell the difference. Just fry it in a pan and put on a bun. I guarantee you I can tell the difference in a hamburger patty and a mushroom.

You do know they have to make the Impossible Burger look like the real thing. They just use a regular grilled burger for the Ad so that people really will buy the burger. I wasn't interested when I saw the first Ad.

I know the ads are always way better looking than the real food. I am not sure the one in the ad is a regular burger. If you could prove that they could be paying a major fine. False advertising. It has to be a picture of the actual product.
-
I feel like if I was a vegetarian there would be much better veggie burger choices than burger king to be honest. Probably be cheaper too.
-
Was not going to even try it and more so now after reading all the comments. Thanks of the information
-
I watch many muckbongs on youtube and nobody really likes that burger
-
Thanks for this info. I was tempted to try one myself but now I won't spend the five bucks and change to do it. They make it look like a real burger in the ads, so it is disappointing to hear the burger you get is soft and tasteless.
-
I just heard what they are putting in those burgers. It's grass clippings (plant) and coconut oil. No wonder it didn't taste like beef.
-
I only had a bite and it wasn't that bad but I not going out of my way to pay for this supposed plant based burger.
-
I was interested in trying it but the reviews have been as bad as the reviews on their tacos.
-
I was attracted to the healthy aspect of it but then realized I'm not into Whoppers so even if it did taste identical do I want it?
-
Haven't tried it yet but would like to

I just visited my vegetarian daughter and her meat-loving husband a few days ago. They both stated that this new impossible burger is actually quite good and they will eat it again. For my red meat loving son-in-law to say he will have another one is a kudo to this sandwich. On their recommendation, with opposite eating habits, I am definitely trying one soon!
