Let us never forget this day....hard to believe it's been 18 years.....I'll never forget where I was that day, though at the time I was truly too young to understand what was happening....now of course I do.

Neither will I. I worked at home and had the TV on and was watching when the first plane hit and Katie Couric saying about the accident of the plane hitting the tower, then horror when her and Matt realized it was no accident when the 2nd plane hit. I called the office and let my friends know and they wanted to be kept in the loop since they didn't have TV or radio there. Then the shock that one it the Pentagon and the 4th plane going down in Shenksville. I didn't get much work done that day. I was so upset but couldn't stop watching. When the first tower came down, it was shocking and my friends at work couldn't believe it either. They all went to the reception area where there was a TV and they didn't get much work done, either. Eighteen years and still remember as if it were yesterday.
One thing, though, is how everyone says "almost 3000 Americans." Have they forgotten that it wasn't just Americans but people from all over the world? Evidently.

so sad

I was at work when it happened and another employee walked from office to office and told people what was happening. She had heard from a relative who was at home and watching TV.

I was at work when my boss called and told me to turn on the radio or go online that something awful was happening in NYC. Internet service was extremely slow with everyone trying to get online. We got a TV and watched the awful news coverage. It was totally unbelievable. Still 18 years later.

I have never heard 3000 "Americans". I have heard almost 3000 people died. Never heard nationality specified.
I do remember exactly where I was. Who I was with. What we we doing. And the moment we found out. We were not where there was a TV and of course 18 years ago we didn't have instant info from all over the world in our pockets.
It's funny how right after that happened we came together. And now we are more divided that ever before and I don't think we will ever come together again. People are too full of hate!

I was in Tenn on vacation with my husband and brother in law, it was on the TV in the hotel lobby

I was getting ready for work. The TV was on and I saw the second plane hit the towers. I thought it was a sci-fi movie. Then I realized....

I will never forget where I was either and can't believe the horror of that day. So many lost their lives and so many families torn apart. Still sad and unforgettable after 18 years. :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose: :rose:

“Peace and Security!”—Then “Sudden Destruction”
“Whenever it is that they are saying: ‘Peace and security!’ then sudden destruction is to be instantly upon them.”—1 Thess. 5:3.

I was at work when the towers were attacked. That was a terrible day.

I dont think anyone will ever forget where they were on this day

I will never forget this day. I worked at a senior center and it was on a Tuesday right before one of the senior citizens club meetings. A co-worker's husband called and told her to go turn on the TV and that was when we saw one of the planes hit the second tower.

My 10 year old asked questions about today, I explained what happened. Still very sad.

Remember that I was taking the kids to school and then on to work. I had a big van with a TV at the time and the kids were watching it when second plane hit. They all yelled that a plane hit a building and I had no idea what they were talking about until I turned up the volume and was listening to the news reports. They were so confused as they were younger and had no idea what was going on. When I got to work the entire office was in the conference room watching the new. We all grabbed our laptops and worked in the conference the rest of the day.

I was at work at Hill Air Force Base where there was a TV in the breakroom. The security was seriously tightened on Base that day.
-
I was asleep and phone rang, I ignored it and let it to voice mail. Woke up an hour later and listened to voice mail and I turned on the tv and the second plane had already hit.
-
I had been outside working in the yard and had decided to take a break and turned on the TV. When the first plane hit the tower, ran out and called my husband to come in the house he arrived just as the second one hit. I felt so bad for all who lost their lives , not just the ones in the towers, the planes but those who were on the ground fighting to save as many lives as they could.

I remember it like it was yesterday I was at the dentist office having some work done and the ladies turned on the TV and I remember everybody started crying in disbelief of what was happening they had to stop working on me and I had to reschedule such a sad sad day I will never forget

I was at work that day. It quickly became surreal as everyone was drawn to the TV once the second plane hit. As odd as it is to say that it seemed like some movie with special effects was on, that's exactly how you perceived what you were seeing at that moment. It was incomprehensible! But the incident drew people closer together as the horror unfolded, especially with further evidence of plans that went awry.
Thoughts are with those who lost their lives; it should never be forgotten. :rose:
