LOL I HATE IT WHEN A guy thinks telling a girl that they don't like them, that it's mean so instead they go off and do nothing letting the girl think that he likes them too. WTF, GUYS ARE SUCH A JERK!!!

Same with girls. Tons of girls I know love messing around with guys like that.
I think when you start singling out a gender for some kind of misbehavior, it proves that you don't understand how the other gender works. Which might be the reason you attract so many of those types of misbehaving people...because you don't understand them and fall for the things they do. It's a cycle.

I guess women and men do this to support their own egos and insecurities. I guess it makes some people feel better about themselves to treat people this way. Not sure why, because it is not genuine.

i hate that too...but i think it's just as bad when a woman does it, and it seems that there's just as many women who do!

Men and Women get a thrill out of the game. Its a great high for them or rather another notch in their invisible belt. Pathetic but true.

They get a kick out of it. Along with getting a rush out of it. Think of it this way---- > Its the same way a druggie feels after doing drugs.
So basically to describe it all it's a high that they feel. So they feel good doing it and after it has been done.

Its the AFFECTION lol , the game is the affecton the attention of the "Hellos and Hi's " or lunch dates that he insists , but Hes NOT gonna pay because the woman is such a sucker for love , espically witth him she'll do anything ...AND HE KNOWS THAT lol ...she might think he doesnt know , but yes he does lol , its a crule game , both sexes are involed men & women do it , its all equal ..but the sad thing is , some people dont know when to stop , u have grown men to this day who play with womens emotions ..

I have never had this happen...When a guy says he likes me, he is telling the truth...I don't always get with all the guys who like me though and if I don't like them I just tell them. If I guy I like doesn't like me, he tells me (usually because he is not single) So I can't relate to what you are going through.
This is not what I'm going through but it's what my friend is going through, my friends bf is in the airforce and there's this girl who is his best friend, she likes him, and tries too hard to get onto him, but he doesn't like her and yet he doesn't tell her to back off. He keeps leading her on. He's a pain in the *bleep*, from my point of view I think my friend should dump him.

Sounds more like he doesn't know how to tell you no, without hurting your feelings.
Direct is better, but basically, it's not too hard to figure out. If you tell a guy you like him, unless he already has a girlfriend, "let me think about it" means "I'm not into you, but why burn bridges?"
If he's single, he'll say yes. Or else he's not interested.

guys and gals being best friends? i've never really
bought that whole thing, but that's another topic...
both genders (generally) play so many games with
eachother in the dating scene. what if he does like
his best friend? i thought "best friends" told eachother
everything? ...he's obviously not going to let his girlfriend
know it, if he does have feelings for her. and if he's not
telling her to back off, its not just because he's being nice!
i bet both girls are getting an earful of what they want
to hear. what would happen if they talked to eachother?
(your friend, and the other girl) ... i bet they'd figure out
things a lot quicker ;)
