Title: Favorite holiday recipe
Post by: metsrock69 on December 02, 2019, 06:46:34 am
Being we are in the holiday season my spouse will be making her really good cream cheese cookies again. I always look forward to these every year.  Is there a favorite holiday recipe you  are looking forward too? :)

One of my girlfriends knows how much I love cheesecake so every year around Christmastime she makes me a gorgeous cherry cheesecake for just me and my family to enjoy. I love it when she does that!

Cream cheese cookies sound absolutely delicious.  My favorite which I haven't made in years are swedish tea cookies sometimes called mexican wedding cookies.   But this year I am making them again.  Yum Yum

As simple as it is, I love making Rice Krispie treats. I also love seeing all the recipes that other people make

Everyone always wants me to make fudge.  I make the old fashion kind with sugar and cocoa.  I also make chocolate covered potato chips and pretzels.

My favorite recipe is when someone else cooks and cleans it up.  I never liked cooking a whole lot and now that I am retired and live alone, I cook very little.  I really appreciate when someone else makes a nice meal or we visit a good restaurant occasionally. Funnily, my neighbor offered to bring me a plate on Thanksgiving as she was cooking dinner for her family.  I had high expectations!  Her heart was in the right place but she is no cook. Darn!!

I love my Sour Cream Bundt cake.  That gives me an idea of preparing one for Christmas.  I haven't baked one in a long time.

 :heart:I make Fudge (it has won blue ribbons many times at the county fair)  I give it out as gifts to a lot of different people, friends, family, business friends.  It is always a big hit.  We also do a big cookie exchange party about the middle (15th) of the month with a lot of friends and family.  It is always a lot of fun.
