I get tons of junk mail and due to my two recent eye surgeries went over reasonable time to check my mailbox which is a lock box in our community. Well two packages and some excess mail were taken to the post office and that is another long boring but very hard on me story. Today's post is really about spending hours literally calling individual catalogs and other assorted junk mail to get taken off their mailing list. What ticked me off the most is all the catalogs I get from companies I have never heard of which means information sharing Grrrrrrrrrrrr Do you have a postal or junk mail issue? h by the way my post man was a jerk about the whole thing

by the way my post man was a jerk about the whole thing
What did your postman say/do that was jerkish? Or was he just rude?

We get junk mail constantly.
-
We get tons of junk mail. It just goes straight to the garbage.

Most of the aggravation that my husband and I have is not so much junk mail but telemarketing phone calls.
We own a business and our phone rings often enough for legitimate business calls. But those telemarketers are horrible. We downloaded an app which has been a big help but there are still unwanted calls that slip through.

I don't mind junk mail in the regular mail might be the only mail I get. This time of year I like the Christmas cards I get from organizations that want money. but in my email I don't like. I know that's weird.
-
I hardly get any junk mail! It is so hard to even get anything delivered and put in the mail box. I am thankful for whatever gets put in there though!

:santa: :snowflake:

Mine goes in the recycle bin, so I get a kick out the cost factor, costs them to send and we get the recycle returns!

Hate junk mail get a ton. Most from Medicare suppliments, statements from Humana for my husband. Credit card offers. Did get something from walmart a check for 13.34 cents hey so now I look at all mail.

I have a post office box that all of my mail goes to which I check once a month. It takes me fifteen minutes to sort through it all and ninety five percent of it goes right in the garbage/recycling bin. I used to black out my name/any numbers that might be used to identify myself and I would use the postage paid envelope to send the junk mail back to the source but that got boring and I felt that by doing this I was letting the advertiser win. I have also gotten somewhat annoyed about political e-mails sent to my primary personal e-mail address. I used to unsubscribe but this seemed to multiply the number of e-mails I would get so I just delete them. Same thing with solicitation phone calls although I get a little joy in blocking them on my phone.

I get a good amount of junk mail and just throw it away or recycle if can.
-
Just recycle them.
-
I hardly ever get junk mail, or any mail. I only check the mailbox twice a week. I guess if you move a lot, they tend to lose track of you. Or maybe they just give up. ;)
-
Thank goodness, i don't, can't stand it if it ever started coming in my mail.
-
Get a ton of junk mail too especially from credit card companies trying to get us sign up.
-
I hate junk mail myself, I clean my mailbox once or twice a month.
-
I think they toss are junk mail, we barely get the mails in the mail.
-
most of our mail is junk and I don't even want to talk about loads of email and robo calls.
-
I have two types of E-mails one for my daily needs and one for junk I hardly get junk mail on my daily one compare to the one I hardly use.
-

I don't mind junk mail. Right now I'd like to get any kind of mail, even junk. I've moved and have had real bad issues in getting my mail.
-
I get a few pieces of junk mail per day, but fortunately I'm a member of a another survey site and qualified for a junk mail retrieval program. So now instead of recycling it I just put it in a large envelope they send me and every week I send it to them.
Easy extra $15 every month!

Is this the program?
https://www.thepennyhoarder.com/make-money/side-gigs/get-paid-for-junk-mail/
SBK Center (it stands for “Small Business Knowledge”) works as follows:
Visit their website and sign up to be a Consumer Panelist.
Once your application is approved, forward your junk email to SBK Center and put your junk mail in the self-addressed, stamped envelopes the company provides.
For every piece of qualifying email or direct mail you send to SBK Center, you receive points.
Once you receive 2,000 points, you can redeem your points for gift cards.
This is similar to the mail decoy job that we’ve written about before at The Penny Hoarder, although instead of scanning your mail or typing in codes, you forward your mail to SBK Center. You also use the mail you already receive, instead of signing up for new mailing lists.

We get a lot of junk mail too!
-
I get a good bit but I just toss it out
-
:( Junk mail!
Do not give them a single cent!
Because they are trying to sell you a product or
service you do not want or need.
They are scammers flooding your house with
unwanted mail!

I am definitely going to check this out. Sounds pretty good.

junk mail is just a way of life nowadays.
-
I'm not as annoyed at receiving physical junk mail as I am annoyed that they wasted the paper and effort of mailing it only for it to get thrown away unopened. I wonder how much less total mail volume there would be without all that junk.
-
I sent my junk mail back to them! I wrote on the outside of the envelope "Remove me from your list! DID NOT REQUEST THIS!"
-
I am so sick of junk mail, that's all I seem to get these days.

I am so sorry for the delay! But no, that is not the program I am enrolled in. It was linked to another survey site, "SurveySavvy". I am not sure if I qualified for It or if it was just an offering that I entered in time,...so I am really not sure if you can still enter/be accepted. But it sounds similar to this in that you have to allow them access to your spam email account.

We get tons of junkmail too. Much too much! Such a waste of money by all these companies! Yuk!
-
I get a lot too but use a specific email for the junk stuff. I also receive the dreaded telemarketing calls almost daily or several times a day.
