I'm thinking of trying to do keto again. I've tried before but, I've been reading articles about how it is good for people with COPD and, it would be nice to be able to breathe again.

I was keto for 6 months and it was great for my health, but i don't exactly have self control so i gave up in august~ it was good for everything exept its so restrictive :-\

My husband and I are doing our research on the KETO diet. I like the many health benefits that people are getting:
Brain health, whether depression, migraine, injury, even alzheimers
less inflammation,
some get off insulin,
keto doesn't feed cancer (sugar does)
lower blood pressure
better cholesterol
and weight loss.

I haven't tried it. Hope it goes well for you!

I have some interest in doing a keto diet, and I'm now even more interested with the thought that it might improve COPD as I have asthma. The only problem is is that my husband has been a type 1 diabetic for 44 years and knows everything there is to know about the ADA diet (which is very similar to the old food pyramid,) and I can't imagine him getting on board with me doing keto. Plus, he does most of the cooking, LOL! I'll read up on it and then finalize my decision. Thank you for reminding me about keto! :peace:

What is COPD? How does a Keto diet work!

A few of my coworkers have tried Keto and it sounds like it takes discipline.
