I don't think I've ever received anything other than flowers or candy for Valentines Day, but I love them both!

I always give the grand babies cards and small gifts.  My x father-in-law and mother in law always brought me candy after valentines day until they passed.

Years ago my then boyfriend gave me a tiny stuffed bear with a tiny box of candy (about 4 pieces), the next day I got the same think but just a little bigger, next day same but bigger, this went on for one week.  On Valentines Day I got a huge teddy bear with a large box of candy.  The only problem was when I opened the box it was empty except for a ring box, I stopped and looked at him, he was on his knee asking if I would marry him.  That was my best! ❤️

I would say by far the best Valentine's Day gift I've ever received was a marriage proposal!  And lucky me, it came from the man that I've now been married to for 24 years! We had been dating for only 6 weeks (after knowing each other as friends for several months), but we knew it was for real (no red flags) and got married at the 10-week mark! No regrets!  :peace:

I also give the grandkids candy for Valentine's day and this year my grandson gave me a bunch of red carnations.

Gifts I received for Valentine's: many many moons ago got engaged on Valentine's Day. Have received many beautiful gifts over the years mostly fresh flowers, hand made goodies, candy, beautiful jewelry especially heart shaped. We usually stay home because it is too crowded to go out to eat, but make it a very special time. Always show love to all you care about on Valentine's.

Well, jewelry is always nice but sometimes just the company you have is the best gift you can get.
