Today I am off work! (still working 48 hours/week....healthcare)
The weather is glorious! High will be 70!!!!! I love Spring time!
I heard a cardinal outside my door and I "talked" back to it.
I am making face masks for my family today....YEAH! I still have fabric scraps from projects over the last 30 years!
I am LOVED!

I have 6 grandkids (7 in a few more days) that make me laugh and entertain me so much. I miss them while the stay at home thing is happening. They have little colds and my husband just got out of the hospital for an asthma thing. So they can't come around. Pretty soon though they will be back. I have been talking to them on the phone and facetime. They crack us all up with their stories and antics.
-
Just hearing from daughter each day and that is doing ok. She is working in hospital as a dietitian but luckily they have enforced that they can only talk to the patients over the phone or to the nurses for tube feeding instructions

Good for you on both the glorious weather and the face masks! I have no ability to sew, so I got on Etsy and ordered some face masks. Hopefully they'll get here before I have to go to the grocery store again. What gets me is that a month ago, the CDC was saying that face masks wouldn't help anybody if they used them. Now they're warning people not to go out into even to the grocery store without one! Oh, well, hindsight is 20/20. :peace:

My day is brightened by beautiful sunshine and my family of course
-
It was a beautiful 85 degrees here. Getting ready for some more gardening.
-
I hope you have a wonderful day off  :peace:

Planning (I'm a big time geek, I know lol), Netflixing, cooking, getting in a good work out that I didn't feel like doing, but most of all my kids.
-
Congrats on the grandkids :)

My day is bright by waking up and knowing that my family is all healthy, but what makes my day easier and brighter than anything are my Grand Children, 1 of them lives here with us and she is the sunshine that warms up the day. My other grandson comes to visit 3 times a day, they live up the road, and we make sure that the kids play with each other, since they cannot go to preschool right now.

Seeing my precious grandson each morning during our FaceTime. He makes the world turn for me.

As depressing at it will sound, nothing brightens my day. I would say being alone does but being a house full of people is not conducive to that end.
-
My son. He is always so happy. He will be 17 months in a few days!
-
When a friend sends me a text to say hi, or calls, usually Im the one calling
-
I am also thankful for SnapChat. Our daughter sends snaps nearly every day of our 2 year old granddaughter. It makes being apart tolerable!
-
I'm not on snapchat. Well, I am...I just don't use it. lol I prefer Facebook. My oldest daughter that has my 2 grandson's and I video each other so the kids don't forget about us. It breaks my heart when they say "I wanna go to your house Grandma". :crybaby2: :crybaby2: I just try to take his mind off it by doing something silly. :D
-
For me it was finally being able to sleep 8+ hours without disturbance of any kind.
-
Hearing from my fiancé. I miss him.
-
How we just exposed CG & Jedi.
-
these days the 2 things that tend to brighten my day. One when the sun is out( unfortunately not today) and second talking to friends and family on the phone. :rainbow: :peace:

The weather is absolutely wonderful today (and the rest of the week); I am returning to work next week (ugh but yes at the same time); and I started the month with my total debt being reduced by close to $900.
-
Since I am still walking daily to recover from my by-pass surgery (and will be for months to come and beyond) all it takes to brighten my day is to look outside and see the sun in all it's glory and dry sidewalks with no rain clouds in sight.
-
Beautiful, sunny weather for sure.
-
Taking long walks in the sunny weather and being able to spend time with my family! :)
-
My two furbaby doggies rocky and adriane brighten my day every day. Pretty much the only thing these days that do it
-
My pet lionhead bunny,Ted.
He makes my happy and laughing at how silly he is .
-
When I get up and the sun is shinning !! I really hate gloomy days.
-
Nature brightens my day, the sound of the birds, crickets, and the beautiful sun, and breeze brightens my day! Especially the wind against my face.
-
Music
-
Being alive and grateful to being able to rise to see another great day.
-
my daughter and my cats.
-
My friends and family have been good at brightening my day. Also, going outside for walks and trying out my new skates! ;D
-
Usually going on a two mile walk cheers up my day considerably and gives me energy to do other things. Also talking to the grandkids on Facetime gives a real lift to my day.
-
Playing video games and getting a good score :) and of course making my favorite meal for the day and enjoying it while watching my favorite show.
-
It's nice to see this thread still going :) Getting things knocked off my to do list (I'm a geek, I know lol), spending time with my kids, and finding a new tasty yet healthy treat brightens my day.
-
I hope all you guys have a wonderful day admist all the chaos- be the peace you want to see in the world. I'm not sure who's quote that is but it's befitting for these times.

Another day brightener for me is calling my Mom on the GrandPad.
She doesn't have a cell phone, or a computer so she has no internet, no wifi.....just a landline phone.
Since this COVID19 stuff, we found an amazing way to SEE my Mom. It is from Consumer Cellular and it is called the GRANDPAD. Basically it is a tablet or an oversize cellphone with large buttons on it. It does NOT need phone contract or internet service. We call each other nearly everyday. All of my siblings have downloaded the GrandPad app to their cellphones so they too can SEE Mom.
It also has the functionality for us to upload PHOTOS for all in the contact list to see. Mom loves seeing photos that we all share with her and each other.

Warm sunny weather.
-
Today I just ended up waking up myself no alarms and everything and I felt awesome cooked my favorite meal and just watched my shows.
-
Being able to wake up each morning and have the opportunity to be better than I was the day before is something that makes me happy. :) Second to this is knowing that my family and friends are happy and healthy.

Just visited my daughter to celebrate her birthday! She's a very successful, motivated, hard working young woman. And she's a really good person. I couldn't be prouder. She makes me happy. Watching her follow her dreams brings me great joy!
