Post by: Mizzkizz7 on April 12, 2020, 09:42:56 pm
Are there any good horror/thriller movies to watch on Netflix, Amazon Prime, or any other streaming service?

If it doesn't have to be recent, The Girl With All the Gifts, The Witch, Bird Box, Insidious, Train to Busan, RattleSnake, In the Tall Grass, Eli...just to name a few  :)

Don't need any horror shows or movies, we have our own playing out right before our eyes and it's called the corona virus!

I usually prefer Hellraider (old), Nightmare on elm street (old), Halloween movies, and some Friday the 13th movies (old)!

I've never been able to watch horror movies, so have no suggestions, but I've seen a few advertised recently.  I tend to agree with miltonarmitage above, real life is scary enough right now, without needing any fiction!

On Hulu, there is the movie that won the Academy Award for Best Picture, PARASITE - it isn't a horror show, but sort of a thriller.  It's a South Korean movie, but it has English (or whatever) subtitles.  It's was surprisingly good, & I say that not having confidence in who the Academy chooses to Award - not a big fan of the Academy Awards.

I used to love horror movies! I was a young person when "Halloween" and Friday the 13th" and that kind of stuff came out. I ate it up! But as I've gotten older I've become such a wimp, LOL! I still like psychological thrillers, because they generally don't have all the blood and gore, just the thriller aspect. But I think I'm done with horror for my lifetime!  :peace:

Can't help you on that one. I am not a fan of horror movies.  Too much emotions for me.

I love horror movies! I don't know if it's still on Netflix, but The Shining is a fantastic movie! Of course, you very may well have already seen it since it's so famous!
