Everyone has been affected by this poor economy. Is there anyone who have been laid off and still searching for work?
I am still lucky to be employed even though like many, my hours have been reduced to a part-timer.
How is everybody surviving right now?

Employed full time and grateful every day.
-
currently a student, but i'm feeling kinda pessimistic about the future.....
-
Hours have been cut here....But, I'm thankful to have a job and medical coverage....

I am a self-employed stay-at-home mom. I do bookkeeping at home and take care of my little boy. I will be so lost next year he will start school. :crybaby2:
-
:) I am still looking for that dream job...I know it really does not exist!
-
Laid off for 18 months. Jobs are few and far between. Apply for everything, but when you get older no one is interested in hiring you. Bankruptcy will probably be my only option!!
-
right there with you, nannan! i apply for a position that dozens of others are applying for each and every day...still hopeful though.

I work full-time at the front office of a golf resort. It's easy and doesn't pay well, but hey, I can be on here while I'm at work, so at least I'm getting paid twice

my job was really stressful like many out there and i was about to have a baby so i chose to be home happy raising my new son! ;D
-
I recently left my job at chase bank. I didnt have a choice, I hired in at 32hrs per week. I was able to afford a babysitter. Then they cut me to just 20 hrs a week. I was very unhappy there and my babysitter was making more than I was >:(. So I left and now watch my baby and got a part time job working night when my wife gets home. All in all its working better than when I was working for chase. I look at FusionCash as my extra spending money. ;D

I am unemployed, was a casual with the post office, but waiting to be called back.
-
Im employed full-time and then some. I complain about my job, but i guess I should be thankful that I still have it. Everyone keep your head up and apply for everything. There are jobs out there, they just might not be what you want. ;)

I am unemployed. I had gone back to school in 2006 to get my MLIS and I graduated in Dec. 2007. I landed a job working as a researcher for a business magazine in March of 2008 only to be laid off in March of 2009. I am still looking for work. :crybaby2:

I am currently unemployed and searching for a job. I have been unemployed for 1 year and 3 days. Im just having a hard time finding a job that can work around my hours.

I work for someone else...

Wow! I really feel bad for everyone looking for work. I know that the unemployment rate in SC (my state) just went down to 11.5%. You would think that was good news until I read that the reason it dropped was because people were disappearing off of the unemployment rolls because their benefits have run out and many people have simply stopped looking, therefore the numbers appear to be going down.
Try to get creative guys. Get online. There really are ways to make extra money while you are looking for something else. Just don't spend any of your own money to do it.

same here...it's tiring not being able to find a job when you keep looking for one. it's even harder since everyone wants a lot of experience for the position.
