ordered some things from amazon. got the 50.00 gift card when getting their credit card. wont really use the card but does have a good interest rate. problem is some things I ordered wont come till june 21st so 2 months from now.some are coming in a week. like that I only have to pay 5.61 cents for 6 items. so if you order from amazon may have to wait awhile.

Amazon is focusing on delivering essential items first which puts many items on the back burner. I am still seeing about a five to six day turnaround on most items which is surprising because I would imagine that the number of people that are stuck at home have inundated Amazon with orders. I started diminishing visits to the brick and mortar stores about nine yeas ago. Amazon has probably benefited the most from the CoVid pandemic and I am so glad I bought Amazon stock when I first started doing fusion cash -just under ten years ago. My stock has done very well and I only need to go to stores when I need fresh vegetables. I have even ordered frozen vegetables on line which are said to be just as healthy as fresh. I did order one of my daughter's birthday presents from Walmart (this morning), which cost ten dollars more than Amazon, only because they could deliver the item one day faster.
-
Not only that but people are price gouging on there …….example a bag of 15 bean soup was over 20$. I tried to call them but no calls being accepted. Whatever. I used to order a lot of stuff from them before the great Coronovirus started because I already didn't go out much because of health issues, mobility and age. Walmart has been a pain also. Oh well persevere. One up for your situation is sometimes they actually end up shipping early.
-
I've noticed my Amazon orders have taken longer to be delivered since COVID also.
My order placed 4/7/20 just arrived today....computer ink.
My 4/2/20 order is expected to be delivered 5/4/20.....hepa vacuum bags (for face masks)
-
I think I took advantage of that deal a few years ago and got the amazon chase credit card.
-
Really? I've ordered a bunch of stuff since the covid madness started, and I've received everything a day earlier than expected. I've left positive feedback on Amazon for the delivery drivers. I don't know if it will make any difference to them, but hopefully they know I appreciate them.
-
Yes, I've been seeing the delay in shipping from Amazon, which is fine by me giving that they say they're picking essential items for shipping first and then non-essential items. I can't, though, for the life of me figure out what Amazon's idea of essential and non-essential is, LOL! I've ordered yarn and craft stuff, which comes very quickly, and then I've also ordered a toaster and an electric can opener, both of which took and are taking several weeks to receive. Oh, well, I wouldn't consider anything that I've ordered on Amazon so far as essential, so I'll just sit back and wait till the items arrive, whenever it arrives. :peace:
-
Amazon orders were already slow getting here. I do not order anything for now from them anymore.
-
I got the Amazon credit card when I placed a real big order. I still use it to get 5% back on my Amazon purchases. I pay it off as soon as the charges hit the account so no interest is incurred.
-
They are delivering essential items the fastest. I still order from them and get my things in about 1 week. I also see big delays in Chewy. I have waited a week for my last order which always came the latest in 2 days.
-
i guess it depends on what you are ordering..the demand and all..i just ordered some homeopet for my cat..will be here in a couple of days...i have all my essentials already stocked up..and had them before this ever hit...some things can take awhile from amazon...i was gonna order some elastic..it wouldnt be here until the end of may or the 1st week in june...
-
I paid for the amazon prime. I wish they would give a partial back of what I paid because everything is coming so far ahead.
-
If you order anything from any where you are going to have to wait. We are having some real problems with our Fed Ex driver just driving by and throwing packages out in front of people's houses. I talked to a supervisor yesterday and he said they are swamped. And having a hard time keeping up. People have cleaned the stores out and now they are cleaning out everything online. Good thing is the economy is BOOMING from all the sales.

They are not accepting calls any longer? I spent over an hour trying to report someone for selling a $3 item for $13 and some had the same item for over $20. It took too much time and effort. The only people who can report price gouging with a simple click are other sellers. There is an easy fix though - DON'T buy those items. If they could not sell them they would not want to be stuck with it. Seems pretty much all companies are either over an hour wait time or not accepting calls any longer. This is getting ridiculous.

Then you are lucky. I have stuff coming today that I ordered 2 weeks ago. Have family that have things coming they said would not ship til middle of May. Leaving positive feed back for drivers probably doesn't make a difference. My package is being delivered by the mail carrier not Amazon. I may order something else today from them.

How do they know what is "essential". It should be it ships in the order they receive the order. Although people with Prime get priority over the ones who do not have it. When I had the trial back in Dec most stuff did not come in two days any way so I can't see paying for it.

Chewy is insane. My last order came in about 10 days.

What do you mean it is coming so far ahead? That would mean you get it faster. If it is a huge delay in the past, at least for some, they said they could get a credit to their account. But right now they are not going to do anything because we are in a major crisis and people have went bat crap crazy panic buying. You are still getting your stuff faster than others if you have Prime. YOUR order gets sent out before someone without Prime. And you still get the movies, music, and all that other stuff. Right now everybody is pretty much saying if you order stuff you will wait til it comes or cancel the order. That is pretty much all they can do. And like somebody else said about answering calls - a lot of companies are not even answering calls. And if you email you will get a generic one size fits all response that probably does not even answer your question.
Idk if they are not working or just so over loaded they are giving up.
-
I paid for the amazon prime. I wish they would give a partial back of what I paid because everything is coming so far ahead.
My cousin just texted me, she has Prime, and the items she ordered yesterday she will not get til at least the middle of May.
-
I'm very thankful that I have no need to order from them so I have no wait
-
I have Prime and I've noticed things a slightly slower. I received my garden work gloves in 6 days. I considered them essential. But PRICES on some things are crazy. Greed is alive and well during the pandemic.
-
i ordered items near mid march. The items sanitizing wipes were suppose to be here by April 15th. Then here yesterday. have'nt seen then yet. i live in a condo complex. outside chance they could be here some where. according to the website they were mailed 3/29/2020.
I prefer not to use amazon unless i absolutely have to. :rainbow: :peace:

Talk about price!! My Insurance has an OTC and two "Vicks inhalers" are 21.00!! I can buy them for less than 3.00 at Walgreen's!

I too have received my orders a day before they said would be deliver. It depends on what you are ordering also.
-
They mov3d the date up to may 21st. So about a month I can wait. Walmart who used to be fast is at least a good week in delivering.
-
I have Prime and some items were delayed a week or two, but that is better than being exposed to Caronavirus. 8)

lol Well I was thinking $21 sounded like a good deal. I thought you were being sarcastic. I have not been to town in a while so I don't know if prices locally have been raised. I will likely get what I need without studying prices too much. I have to have an ink cartridge so I guess I will pay what ever they are asking. :( Or buy a new printer. Sometimes that is cheaper but just puts more crap in the land fills.

I wondered about that as well. I have never ordered from them. My mom does. She did not know there are 3rd party sellers on there. I am not sure how to tell what is ships from and sold by Walmart. But most of what I have seen on there was by a third party seller at inflated prices. I saw a cake mix for $17.

Amazon is ticking me off.
I ordered my bunny's food about a month ago and it STILL hasn't shipped yet.
It's listed as a essential item.
Luckily, I still have some food for him,but that's not cool if they're doing that to other people that are probably nearly out of food for their pet and ordered more so they could feed their pets.
Amazon's gonna let pets starve now???
I feel like complaining to them

Amazon is not letting your pet starve. You have other options. Chewy has all kinds of pet food. Check with them. but you will wait about 10 days from the time you place your order. Walmart also has pet food. As well as countless other places. If you feel like complaining to them then go for it. But you will be doing it in an email because some people have said they are no longer taking phone calls. Probably because all every one does is complain right now. Can you not feed your rabbit things like fresh veggies and grains that you should be able to get at a grocery store?
-
Some pets only eat certain pet foods.
I know they're not letting my pet starve, but they could be making other people's if they can't find the right food they need in the store and don't have a credit card to order it elsewhere!
Walmart does not have the right kind and I don't have a credit card to order on "Chewy" I use gift cards to order on Amazon.
So,I don't really have any options.
You can only feed animals so much fruits/vegetables before it can make them ill.

Chewy has gift cards now. It is a brand new option. Rabbits in the wild do not eat "rabbit food". Check some where like co-op or a tractor supply. Maybe they would have it. I would just try to look for unconventional methods because this crazy is not going to end any time soon. Probably just going to get worse. If you look at actual data and stop letting the fear monger control you there are more recovered cases than active cases in most states. When ever you do find it then it might be a good idea to get some extra so you have it next winter.

You also get paid here with PayPal don't you? You can pay for stuff online thru that as well. I don't know how though because I have never done it. My cousin does it a lot. She doesn't have credit cards either.

I just had the same thing happen. I joined Prime because of this Pandemic so far it's been okay. But just like an hour ago, I attempted to order a couple of cobalt glass bottle sprayers & they were scheduled to arrive May 13 - didn't say out of stock, or back ordered, just normal delivery.
So I opt'd for some amber glass bottle sprayers & they did state out of stock & back in stock May 3, which would be faster unless that will take forever to be delivered when they come in.
I want to use them to put 70% alcohol for disinfectant.

Have you noticed the prices increasing on normal items at the Amazon marketplace, please comment:
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/federal-lawsuit-accuses-amazon-of-exploiting-consumers-to-profit-during-pandemic/ar-BB132YEK
Online retail giant Amazon is being accused of “exploiting consumers in their most vulnerable hour” by increasing prices on products that have become highly sought as tens of millions of Americans abide by stay at home orders due to the novel COVID-19 coronavirus. In a class action lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, several California residents alleged that Amazon violated state laws against profiteering from a public health crisis and unfair competition by inflating prices for goods consumers cannot obtain through other means.
“In this environment—consistent with the directions of government and public health officials—consumers have understandably turned to online purchasing, and Amazon in particular, to fulfill their essential needs,” stated the filed complaint. “Indeed, Amazon’s sales have never been higher, and since the COVID-19 pandemic began, its sales in some categories (e.g., home items) are up more than 1,000 percent. But Amazon’s position as a vital seller in times of contagion does not place it above the law. If anything, the increased demand for its platform makes price gouging by Amazon all the more unconscionable. Like every seller, Amazon has an obligation under California law to ensure that its pricing does not exploit consumers facing emergency conditions. Amazon has not abided by that obligation. In fact, as the COVID-19 crisis has escalated, so too have Amazon’s prices for the goods consumers require to remain healthy, protected, and nourished.”
-
↑↑↑↑ I have seen several third party sellers price gouging. I do not know how to report it. I reported one and it took over an hour with a customer service rep - So I have just started ignoring it. I think it is sad that anybody would pay $20 for a $3 item.
-
OK, just went to Amazon.com, a 4 pack of 26 ounce Morton Salt is $19.99!!!! ROTFL, bhahahaha! That's $5 bucks a piece and 1 box of salt should be under a buck. There used to be a place to click on for an over-priced item, because I've used it before but now I don't see it? Only one coming out ahead in all this is Jeff Bezos, SMH! :turkey:
-
Idk how much this applies to essential type products, but I keep hearing people say that instead of getting a thing on amazon, look up that seller's actual website and buy it there instead, because sometimes they have better pricing and the profits go to them instead of bezos. Maybe you could get around shipping delays that way? Most of my mail and packages (non amazon) have still been arriving at okay speeds.

:( (I am not referring to this site, but just compare prices, and get no money for this link)
I know we can sew these, but look at some of the prices I found upon searching:
1 $16.80
5 $14.80
10 $14.00
50 $13.60
100 $13.20
250 $13.04

No one says you have to pay higher prices, it's a free market.

There are always risks associated with opening an account with a merchant.

I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered ink cartridge last week (it say it won't get delivered until May 4th, but came in yesterday, so one week earlier than expected). I think as amazon is slowly going back to their more usual shipping time once they are through the delivering essentials crisis. At least that's what I hoped.
-
I have ordered from Amazon and all 3 of orders have arrived in a timely matter on time. Have 2 more coming next week says they are on time so we will see.
-
I ordered some eye drops for my wife and they were projected to take a week and showed up on the second day. I do have Prime.
-
I've started ordering dog food through Amazon and Walmart.com since COVID-19 turned our worlds upside down. I order both dry and canned dog food and it is delivered in a timely manner because this is considered an essential item.
-
We order from Amazon all the time, but right now I think they too are having issues. Sometimes you can tell when they will ship before you purchase.
-
Several Things we were getting at Walmart the price have tripled we will ship some where else for them.
-
I order a lot with amazon and walmart these days. some things the price have doubled and tripled tho, so I do't buy them anymore. but when yu can't get out sometimes you just have to do it
-
Several Things we were getting at Walmart the price have tripled we will ship some where else for them.
I have not seen any price increasing at Walmart. Unless you are on walmart.com and if that is the case you need to look at who is selling it. Is is actually Walmart or a 3rd party seller.
-
The covid-19 virus shelter in place is affecting everything even delays in online orders...
-
I've been lucky getting a few things within two days. I understand why they have to delay some orders and keep some orders in priority for others.
-

I never got it that fast. Even when I had the Prime. I got a couple things in two days but most was 5-7 so I just cancelled it.
-
It's not only happening on Amazon delivery companies. I'm also getting order items way longer length of times from the day you order. I've also seen online & the news, that Amazon delivery employees aren't getting the support in terms of the hardship Coronavirus issues is creating lately.

Anyone else getting refunds from Amazon? My order was "Out of Stock" so I ended up with a refund! Would have taken a substitute, but wasn't asked.
-
I have ordered from them a long time and am a prime member but my stuff is taking longer to get delivered than it used to.
-
havent had a problem except with this last item i got...its taking a little longer than usual..but with everything going on,i guess it's to be expected..
-

I know its crazy! I looked on there in March when Walmart was out of so much stuff. I thought I would check Amazon for a few groceries and a loaf of bread was $19.99.
-
I too have noticed since covid that some orders are taking longer to come. I use amazon because the prices are good and it is so convenient.
-
The reason you have to wait a while is because some items are not carried through Amazon but through other sellers and even China. If you become a Prime Member which is 12.99 a month, then if you buy only things listed as Prime, Then it is free shipping and you get things a lot faster. Now if it is from China, it could still take a while to get your things. I love shopping on Amazon. I buy everything there.
-
I too have items coming, hope I don't have to wait too long.
-
I am thinking about the credit card as well and wondering if it is worth it. Good to hear from others on their comments.
-
Amazon has been prioritizing essential items and I'm sure their demand has spiked so I'm not surprised that some of the more common items are taking longer than expected...we also have to keep in mind employee safety...most of my orders have taken a little longer than usual, but a few have arrived earlier than expected so it might just depend
-
I ordered 2 face masks and I had to cancel and get my money back. I'm waiting on 2 more items now. One should be here this week, the other in June/July. It has been slower than usual.
-
I was also tempted to get the card just to get some money off my purchases but decided not to since it would somewhat impact my credit score if I decide not to continue with it.
-
I have prime and was going to order items a month ago but it wouldnt come til mid June. I went to Ebay and didnt have that issue ecept for items coming from China, and that always takes a long time anyways.
-
It seems Amazon is improving their times back to original times -- I ordered some hook screws yesterday to hang up string lights in the backyard, & they are scheduled to come on Saturday (tomorrow) so that is like 48 hours from purchase to delivery. Amazon has proven to be so beneficial to me during this shelter-in-place order, I am quite thankful for them & their prime service :)

Right! Everything I ordered from Amazon (that was in-stock, and was US based) has arrived. I congratulate them for prompt delivery and hope the rest of the retailers take note!
Hard to tell where the item is shipping from, not like eBay where they tell you and track for you.
-
When ordering from Amazon, which I do quite a bit, the only time I can't receive my order the next day is because it is coming from other countries.
-
We are so lucky that we have amazon... I have talked with people from eastern europe and they have to way days or weeks to get stuff shipped...
-
I took advantage of that credit card offer too awhile back. Shipping has been longer than normal.
-
I had some problems with Amazon too.
I heard Walmart will introduce a membership option soon.
-
I only spend Amazon products when i have gift cards from friends & family even though shipping is over price.
-
i love Amazon.
-

:in-love:
I only buy when I have over 25.00 in orders so I get the free ship option! This is a great savings and when you were going to buy the item anyway, a great convenience having it delivered! Win Win
-
that sounds like an amazing deal. i could defiantly use some things for that price for sure
-
Honestly even with the covid crisis I've gotten all my orders on time and sometimes even before the promised date. Never had an issue. Some of you are having issues. Maybe just maybe it could be the driver be a lil bit lazy were your at. I know this one time my friend sent me a box filled with stuff and some how it was sent to somewhere 300 miles where i wasn't at. She lives in texas that was a ups store employee who made that mistake. I live in california ive never had issues with my ups or shipping. Thought id share that lil story
-
I think amazon is returning to normal now
-
I notice too that it is taking much longer for prime members such as myself to get things. I wish this gets over real soon :(
-
I think that at the moment they have a lot of orders... and it takes ages to get a package...
-
I ordered a curling iron that should be here tomorrow. Did I need one? Probably not. I just wanted to shop on Amazon, lol.
-
I had some problems with Amazon too.
I heard Walmart will introduce a membership option soon.
You were right! In the news today in fact.

In the past week or so, I noticed that Amazon delivery came back to 2 day shipping for prime members. The fast delivery rate seems to be back now, even for nonessential items.
-
Yea I order from Amazon a lot - since covid I found I have to be even more cautious about folks price gouging on there for the stuff amazon doesn't fulfill but it is certainly convenient for me with mobility issues.
-
Waiting for items ordered has gotten better. In the beginning with Covid 19, you had to wait so much longer to get stuff you have ordered. So it has gotten better at least for me.
-
Yes, Amazon was slow at first. but now they are a whole lot faster.
-
I know amazon is saying they are delivering essential items first and other stuff will be delayed, but lately the stuff I have been ordering from them has arrived in one day. I bought a $3 book of mazes for my granddaughter and it took only 24 hours to arrive, which shocked me, because it was such a small, nonessential order,
-
I am mad at Amazon right now and am going to carefully pick and choose what I order from them. I ordered a funko pop and it came crushed. The outside carton was perfect just the box around the funko pop crushed so that tells me whoever packed it knew it wasn't right. The best they would do is take 4$ of because I had no way to send it back under my present circumstances.

I have had things come that were in bad condition too.
