I am looking forward for this thing to be over and the virus contained or eradicated. I want to go out to a restaurant and not have to worry about the virus. What will you do when set free?
-
I want to do my Friday fish night at Golden Corral with my parents. That was our Family thing every Friday before this Quarantine destroyed that!
-
Continue to close to what I am doing now to be honest. I am kind of a homebody anyway and honestly I don't think we are out of the woods yet or even close. Everyone has to decide for themselves but I will continue to proceed with great caution. Good luck to all and be safe.

The same but nonetheless, after this crap is over, I'm getting a job! :-\

I don't think it will ever be over. This is here to stay. Even if restrictions are lifted every where I think some of your physco people who are scared to leave their home are always going to be completely insane about people being near them or going out in public. Guess it will be the new way to get a government check. smh
I probably won't do a lot different than I am now. I do plan to continue the new way of going to town once a month and getting what I need for a month instead of once a week. People are completely insane.
-
Do I think this is here forever? No, I don't, but I believe it is going to be some time before we are able to go back to what it was. I intend to act cautiously for awhile as I want to remain healthy as long as possible. However, I really miss going out to dine at a restaurant, going to the mall and walking around, and doing things with friends and family freely.

I am so much like you my friend. Life for me will basically be the same as when before this happened

I agree, better safe than sorry. Keeping up with the effects of this virus (and any new strains that emerge) will take mindfulness and total self control. Shop on sale, have coupons and continue to stock up on items we've learned become scarce is a good rule. Only dine at restaurants you know and trust is another. Gone are the days I would feel comfortable in a crowd for any function so I avoid the parks and other places if there is a lot of people. Drove by Costco yesterday and they were packed, a stream of people still going in and a stream coming out! I just left, it was probably a 10 minute wait in line to check out!
-
I want to be able to go to my weekly clubs to visit and talk with friends in person rather than just by Zoom. I really miss my knitting club and my book club friends. Even if we have to sit 6 feet apart, it will still be more satisfying to see and be with them than communicating over the internet is.
-
We are still on lockdown until at least May 8. I will not be going out that much anyway because I don't think that we will be safe any time soon.
-
Just resuming life with my fiancé. It's the simple things in life I miss.
-
The biggest thing I miss is going to the beach condo and basking in the summer sunshine.
-
I'm looking forward to going back to work! I miss my everyday routine!
-
Well, I am returning to work next week (on a limited schedule). While I am too thrilled about it, it does break up the monotony of being forced to shelter in place.
-
Honeslty i just want to get out again. Sick of being stuck in my home because of stay at home order. Its quite annoying at this point and time for a change
-
I just want to be able to have our yearly extended family fish fry this summer, because I love a good fish fry with fresh cut french fries, fresh cut onion rings, hush puppies, etc. But mostly, it'll be a great chance to see my extended family whom I haven't seen since this whole COVID-19 started. We're a pretty close extended family, so it's been hard just connecting by phone and not seeing each other. :peace:

I'm afraid you're right, countrygirl12. I wish you were wrong, but things just seem to point in the direction of more government control which means scaring the bejeebers out of everyone so that we can depend on their help. :binkybaby:

Exactly. It is like in my state. They are showing the number of positive cases and outrageous numbers. First I don't believe the numbers are increasing like they are saying. And second, if you do the math the death rate is less than 2%. Closer to 1%. The government has not "helped" me.
I have talked to a friend that is a manager at Walmart. Several of the new things they are doing she says she doesn't see it ever going back. Like the open 24 hours. She says she will be surprised if that ever happens.
I talked to a woman working at a hardware store the other day. She was talking about some woman freaking out because she was talking to her. The woman asked for help but did not want the employee to get close to her and answer her question. smh I would have said mail me a letter. lol. So far I have not been afraid to be around anybody in any store. Customer or employee. I don't like the world we are living in. People have lost their minds.
-
I will be glad to return back to normal life and do what I want, when I want and not having to be in a prisoner in my own home.
-
Just try and get back to some sort of routine and be able to go see family with the fear of getting sick especially when 4 of them have to work this during this time.

Do you people think that the Covid19 is over, not even close. People please do not remove your masks and stop the social distancing. It will be a big mistake. I know being cooped up in the house is making some of you go crazy, but it's healthier to stay in. I am praying that this ends soon, like now.
-
I love my home and don't mind staying in it and stayed in a lot before the virus but dislike having to stay in Makes you want to go out just because you have to stay in,
-
Oh how wish it was over,,, we are suppose to stay in till the end of May now,,, except for grocery stores and Dr. Appointments. Small places are starting to open but nothing big yet. I just wanna get back to the gym !!!!! I miss my exercise buddies,,, not much fun doing it by myself

Is it healthier to stay in though? According to New York's governor Cuomo "66% of new admissions related to the coronavirus are people who were at home" -- that was just a day ago.
"New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo said preliminary data from the state's hospitals indicates a majority of new hospitalizations related to Covid-19 are people who are mostly staying home and not venturing much outside, which he called "shocking." "

I am not ready to open up, I think it is too early. Testing needs to be done on all.

Same here. Apart from going to church and the grocery store my life isn't too different!
-
I will look forward to going to festivals and traveling.
-
unfortunately, i don't think this will ever be really over. But when the shelter in place is lifted there are are 3 things i would like to do. One hug my friends and family (that might still be a ways off) Two Go out to eat Three get my hair cut.
Whatever i end up doing it will still be done with caution. right now Mass. quarantine ends a week from Sunday.
I belong to a small gym so i hope that will be open and i can go twice a week. :rainbow: :peace:

I am looking forward to going to the beach, restaurants, and my local gym. I never thought I would be so happy to leave my house as much as I do now, LOL.
-
I am not ready to open up, I think it is too early. Testing needs to be done on all.
Why? I will never grasp why you and others think everybody in the country needs to be tested. That is so stupid. You would need to be tested every day. I can be tested on Monday and get the results 14 days later saying I am negative. But Tuesday I went to the grocery store and came in to contact and contracted the virus so even though my test says NEGATIVE I am actually POSITIVE. People need to get the test if THEY want to and stay home and hide and let the normal people live their lives.
-

I am fine with staying home. But I want to be able to leave if I want to. In my state we were never under any type of mandatory you cannot leave your house type of order.
-
The JWs have no meetings or ministry now.Their instruction comes from God.
Yes,there is a need to get food, gas medicine etc.But doing so we must be smart still.
Dont treat this like its over either.
-
I wish it would just go away. I still feel it is a little scary though to reopen if it has not gone away but I guess we really do not have any other choice.
-
i too want to actually eat in a restaurant and to be able to play my favorite passion volleyball. IM still working liking normal so I just miss these few things
-
If it ever does end going to a buffet with friends and family to eat!
-
I don't plan to do anything anytime soon; I think it's too soon.
-
But to answer the question; hopefully for the 4th of July I can meet up with my sisters and throw a mock ceremony for my daughter who finished high school this year.
-
I love Golden Corral; we were supposed to go there after my daughter's high school graduation ceremony. Have fun and be safe!
I want to do my Friday fish night at Golden Corral with my parents. That was our Family thing every Friday before this Quarantine destroyed that!

I wholeheartedly agree.

Will there be any buffets left when it does "end" is the bigger question -- we just had Souplantations/ Sweet Tomatoes permanently close all 94 of their locations. It's tragic really as I & many others enjoyed that somewhat healthy buffet. I don't think people will be okay with touching the same utensils as so many other people have touched ever again, or at least anytime in the near future. Hopefully the Golden Corral survives :S

What you said includes "Salad Bars" in grocery and restaurants! All the bulk foods sections are empty and closed for purchasing due to this virus and may or may not reopen! I will miss this as I save money there in dry foods and spices!!
Even with a new utensil each time the potential for contamination is too great !
One way to "Save" this great purchasing opportunity is to have a designated server at the "Salad Bar" or "Buffet" or "Bulk Foods". An employee that's only purpose is to fill your plate or bags from the Bar or bins!
-
So looking forward to swimming in the gym, going back to my favorite buffet restaurant, and travel again
-
haircut and bottle redemption. 2 things shut down
-
Honor Covid-19 safety measures. I think some people unnecessarily died
because they did not follow protocols and proper personal hygiene. If you are sick,
seek medical treatment. It is critical you get treatment and get well soon.
-
Stay at home orders in my state has been extended. No one knows when it will be over and when it will return to normal. I do things do go back to normal.

Buffets are open now. My aunt is a manager is a restaurant that has a buffet. The difference is now you point to what you want and the employee puts a spoon of that item on your plate. I agree that going back to everybody touching the same spoon will likely never happen again. People are getting physco with you can't touch anything somebody else has touched. I mean get it through your heads - THIS DOES NOT ABSORB THRU YOUR HANDS!!!!

::) There have been tons of people who stayed home and still got sick. And getting this virus does not mean you are dirty. Most of the time if you go to the doctor they will just send you home and tell you to take otc cold meds, rest, and drink plenty of fluids. There is NO medical treatment.
Even if you are in the hospital there is NO treatment. They give you oxygen. About all they can do.
-
Since I am high risk and poor health, I will be mainly staying home until there is a vaccine.
-
still too soon for me

To all re religeous events. The JWs have stopped their meetings and ministry in areas where the virus is.They get their instruction from those on earth that are part of the governing body<144000>that will rule with Jesus in heaven the earth.
If u cant trust God who can u trust?
Avoid crowds where the virus is and safeguard yourself when going out when u have to.

Want to go to Macy's or jc penny wait there both closed. Well then target will like going into a store. With no mask living dangerously.
-
I'm not in a rush to get out...yes, I feel a little more comfortable doing so, but I have somewhat embraced and gotten used to this quarantine so I'll take my time to stay safe....
-
So sick of this crap. Quarantine is for the sick, not healthy.

So sick of this crap. Quarantine is for the sick, not healthy.
So why ru complaining?
-
We hope and pray this virus is over and people stop dying. I guess countrygirl12 don't have or know anyone who have died from this virus.
-
I think it might be a while before we can go to a restaurant or do anything normal without thinking about the virus. It's still out there and while I'm not afraid of it, I'd don't want to catch it.

Must've kept you up hours thinking of that clever rejoinder.
