My Son is a police officer and just found out that one of his buddies who is also an officer has the Coronavirus. My Son was tested along with others in their department. Please, good thoughts on them all coming back negative....thank you all so much !!

So I don't get this. Why test everyone in the department if they are not showing any symptoms. There was a girl locally who had this virus and no one else who lived in the house with her got it. A local facility someone tested positive. So they shut the facility down and are doing this major sanitize. WHY? She had not been at work in a week or more so what is the point in testing 7 or more days after the person who tested positive had even been in the building. There was another facility, quite large, that a couple of people, likely from the same household tested positive. NO ONE else in the business had it. And there are 200 or more working there.
And the one that baffles me the most - a local church that has not had services in 2 months and won't be going back for a few more weeks said they have to do this major "sanitize" before they can resume services. WHY? NO one had even been in the building. It just doesn't make sense to me.

And sometimes I don't get yours. We can't hide in our homes for the rest of your lives. We don't all get government checks. We can't all work from home. People have to go on living. I was more concerned with this when it first started. I am opening my eyes and seeing we are being lied to.

I think you do have to test everyone who came in contact with the officer who tested positive because that's the only way to find out if they are a carrier even if they don't show any symptoms.

How difficult is it for you to understand. If the co-workers wife had the virus then he should have been locked up at home as well if they were living together. I would agree the test is not something I would want to do. Cannot for the life of me understand the people wanting to get the test just because.

I am doing my best. So are a lot of other people. I don't go to town unless I have to. I did go to the grocery store this morning. Maybe instead of running scared you should talk to some people. I have talked to a lot of people and ask what they think about this and the majority of people are starting to see the truth. The virus is not any worse than the flu. It basically is a new strain of the flu. A LOT of people died with the flu. If they had updated numbers like they are with this on the flu and shut every thing down because of the flu we would already be closed down permanently as a country.
One of the local factories had to close down a line or two when a lot of people were out with the flu. The same with other places. They had people out but the world kept turning.
What do you think is going to happen? They said this is a virus that will be here every winter just like the flu. So do you expect we all stay hid in our homes from now on? When it first started I was actually too concerned and I was stressed. Now, no, not so much. I have woke up and seen what is going on. smh And yes, I will stay safe.
The majority of people who get this don't even know they are sick. It is like a very mild cold. But the media hypes on the negative and keeps every body scared.

I think you do have to test everyone who came in contact with the officer who tested positive because that's the only way to find out if they are a carrier even if they don't show any symptoms.
With a police officer that is going to be hard to do. It would be hard to do with any one. There was a cop in our Walmart the other morning. He walked through the store. There would be no way to know who all he came in to contact with that day. Same with others that were shopping. If they had this virus there is no way to know who all they were in contact with. I was at the grocery store this morning. I would have no way of knowing who all I was in the store with. I saw 2 people I knew so other than them I could not tell you.
I also don't think every one who came in to contact with someone who was positive has to have that test. It may vary by state. Some are saying if they have symptoms they can't get a test. I don't know why you want one so bad any way. They can't do anything and they just tell you to go home and self quarantine and rest. As I said before there was a girl locally who was positive and no one else in her house hold got the virus from her. And no one else in her house hold was tested for it either.

Okay now read this really slow so you can grasp it ha ha. Hi wife wasn't feeling good. She had nooo idea why and she never expected it to be a virus, just maybe a cold or something. In the mean time her husband (officer) was going to work as usual. She, went to the Drs and I guess from what/how she was explaining how she felt to the Dr he decided to give her the coronavirus test. Now don't ask me why he decided that, I mean he is the Dr so you would have to ask him. While waiting for the results which may take a few days her husband (officer) continued to go to work . Sadly it came back that she had the virus. Since they found out her husband (officer) quit working but now he was considered a carrier and has already been around people. So to be on the safe side for those he was working with they had a choice to either stay home and quarantine them self without pay for 2 weeks, or to have the test done. My son and others all chose to have the test done. Now it's just a waiting game. 1 guy came back negative. I'm hoping now my son and the others will too.....it is ALWAYS better to be safe than sorry, especially when a cop has to be out and about with others.

See here is the deal - when you have the covid test you are suppose to self quarantine until the results come back. As well as the others in your house hold. I don't know why he is just "considered" a carrier. That does not make sense. Oh wait yes it does. It is a fear monger approach.
So your son and other officers are possibly exposed to this (probably not) but since they had the test they can keep working. So IF they do have it they are spreading it. To every one they stop, to every one they are in contact with. Most likely they are all going to come back negative. Because the first guy did not have it. They "consider" him a carrier because his wife had it.
Maybe your state is different but in my area is it taking as long as 2 weeks and usually a week at least to get results back. Most people who have cold like symptoms do not want to run get this test because they don't want locked down in their homes for 2 weeks waiting for a test result. If they test you because they think you have this virus then you need to stay at home until they know you do not. Not just keep working and then if you have it oh I will stay home now. Why bother. Just keep spreading it.

I will certainly pray for your son and his fellow police officers and that the one positive for the virus will get well quickly. I think that we all need prayer to make it through this situation.

See here is the deal - when you have the covid test you are suppose to self quarantine until the results come back. As well as the others in your house hold. I don't know why he is just "considered" a carrier. That does not make sense. Oh wait yes it does. It is a fear monger approach.
So your son and other officers are possibly exposed to this (probably not) but since they had the test they can keep working. So IF they do have it they are spreading it. To every one they stop, to every one they are in contact with. Most likely they are all going to come back negative. Because the first guy did not have it. They "consider" him a carrier because his wife had it.
Maybe your state is different but in my area is it taking as long as 2 weeks and usually a week at least to get results back. Most people who have cold like symptoms do not want to run get this test because they don't want locked down in their homes for 2 weeks waiting for a test result. If they test you because they think you have this virus then you need to stay at home until they know you do not. Not just keep working and then if you have it oh I will stay home now. Why bother. Just keep spreading it.

Sadly it came back that she had the virus. Since they found out her husband (officer) quit working but now he was considered a carrier and has already been around people. So to be on the safe side for those he was working with they had a choice to either stay home and quarantine them self without pay for 2 weeks, or to have the test done. My son and others all chose to have the test done. Now it's just a waiting game. 1 guy came back negative. I'm hoping now my son and the others will too.....it is ALWAYS better to be safe than sorry, especially when a cop has to be out and about with others.

There was another facility, quite large, that a couple of people, likely from the same household tested positive. NO ONE else in the business had it. And there are 200 or more working there.
And the one that baffles me the most - a local church that has not had services in 2 months and won't be going back for a few more weeks said they have to do this major "sanitize" before they can resume services. WHY? NO one had even been in the building. It just doesn't make sense to me.

What difference does make he is a public servant of the people and I think front line workers should be tested anytime that want to be. They are the ones going out everyday to protect and serve all of us. I guess if you don't have someone close to you having to work these positions they you can ignore some of the facts. Everyday my daughter tells me about the horrible cases she is seeing in the hospital so I don't think anyone is lying. Adding prayers for your family along with my family.
