Title: Father's Day
Post by: ktheodos on June 21, 2020, 06:04:46 am: Wishing all the Father's and Father figures a Happy Father's Day! I can imagine it's tough this year since visits are still limited, but I hope everyone feels loved.

Post by: gtdoss on June 21, 2020, 03:22:36 pm: I always wish my husband and stepdad a Happy Father's Day every year, even though none of us really celebrate it as a special day in any other way. I also think it's just a way to part people from their money by the card and gift companies (mostly card companies). :peace: :heart:

Went out for lunch, did some patio hopping with the kids (got a little tipsy) and then came home and watched a scary movie. I got a leather bracelet with everyone's name on it, some shorts and beautiful/sentimental cards with pictures of the family that I had forgotten existed. It was the first father's day celebrated with out my step father (who I consider to be my true father). He passed in May and we toasted him several times throughout the day. Father's day is one of my favorite holidays as my kids have always been there and kind of celebrates my primary goal in life which was to be a father to two wonderful children and provide them with a better life than I had. I hope everyone else had a wonderful weekend.
