I have seen it 2-3 times around the internet this morning. One was a story somewhere on Yahoo.

Here we go again, another virus. My sister and I just came out of CVS with masks on, as required. Everyone had them on, and some had gloves, My sister said is this the normal forever, I don’t think things will ever be like they were before March. I have to agree, life will never be the same and it’s sad.

If I can find it I will post a link. Masks do not stop the spread so nice try with that one. The problem is everybody trying to control everybody else. I saw a post somewhere, and have a screen shot of it, where it basically said you need to worry about you. You can only control you. You can control how YOU react to someone else. You choose whether or not to be triggered by someone else. Basically mind your own business and worry about you.
I do not agree that masks and gloves are the new "norm" and that everybody will have to wear a mask and gloves if they are in public, for the rest of their lives. Next time you are out WATCH people with their masks on. I have really been paying attention. They are constantly touching, pulling it up and down, fondling it, rearranging it and then touch everything else. Another reason the mask is useless. With the first being the tiny virus germs can go right through the mask. Believe it or don't. I saw a kid with a mask on in Walmart this past week end and she had her fingers in her eyes every time I saw her. So again, the mask is totally useless.
I actually saw a post yesterday where some idiot ask the dept of health in my state if they needed to wear a mask in their own home. ::)

lol Hard to say. Got to step up the game. People are just foolish. They believe what ever the media spoon feeds them. I talked to a guy yesterday who was concerned at first and then said he started digging and doing his own research and realized the media is lying. I done the same thing. It is not hard to do. You can find all the information from official sources and you can add it up and see it is not what is being reported on news stations.
A person associated with family who works in a hospital, a few weeks ago, was telling everybody we are fixing to have to start making a decision as to who gets treated and who is just left to die. We can't handle this. She needs to be fired! That was a fear monger lie with NO truth whatsoever to the statement. They had plenty of vents available if needed. This whole time they have used ONE vent. And had a grand total of 5 that is FIVE hospitalized with cov. They are being told not to use vents anyway unless the person is not breathing at all because the vent is likely to kill them. A vent is really hard on your body.
When this first started I was pretty worried. But if you read all the news and listen to all this stuff every day you will make yourself crazy. When I started really looking at numbers - the total positive, the recovered subtract the two to get a total active now, the deaths, the number hospitalized LOOK at it and download a calculator to figure percentages for you and it is not that scary. No I don't want to get said virus but I don't want the flu either. A co-worker died with the flu a few years ago. Heck a bad cold can kill a person with already existing health conditions. If you have issues then you need to stay at home. YOU. Not try to control the entire population and make them stay home as well. I have a friend who just started chemo. She said she will be staying home because of a weak immune system. She does not expect the rest of the world to stop for her.

What?! Did you read any of the links you posted? It is swine flu. They call it G4, and it's genetically descended from the H1N1 swine flu from 2009. And it has already been transmitted from pig to human. From the CBS News link that you posted:

No, kind of skimmed because they all had dates of 2020. The article I saw the other day made it sound like it was something new. Maybe it is not. I have not seen it again and do not care enough to look for it. Maybe it is the old thing from years ago. If so then that just proves what I have said before and it is all FEAR MONGER. The swine flu from years ago did pass from human to human. If it can pass from a pig to a person then a person can pass to another person.

lol Too bad they can't vaccinate for stupidity. This thread has nothing to do with cov. Covid19 is a VIRUS not a disease! Can't really take anybody seriously that wants to blame all this on Trump because they are so full of hate for Republicans that they can't see anything but hate when they see that person. When this first started Trump tried to close our boarders and stop the first people who were positive from coming back to the country. He was ignored and they brought them here anyway. But you don't want to see that.
It is easy to want everything to stay closed when you can sit on your butt at home and still draw a check. The rest of us are not that lucky. Some of us have to work if we want a paycheck! We can't keep the whole country shut down forever. As far as the only attacks people over 60 ::) that is not true and it never was true. They say the same thing about the flu. People over 60 are more susceptible for having complications. I never believed that kids could not get a RESPIRATORY VIRUS! But then again I don't just believe the media. And the really sad thing is you are so bent on blaming everything on Trump you want to say he said all that. And maybe he did repeat what the media said or what he was told but if you have a living brain cell you know the MEDIA was touting all this stuff from the start.

Yes supposedly it is a new strain of Swine Flu. Well can anything get any better. I am just gonna keep staying at home except for my one time monthly to go to the grocery store. Take care.

I don't think this is new, it's a continuation of the initial virus. The number of cases and death cases have increased because people are re-opening their businesses and people are going to those restaurants. I don't there is a difference if they are sitting outdoors, you are still in danger because people has removed their facial mask.

It IS new. I should have saved a link to the article but I really did not care. NO I am not in danger because people do not wear a mask. ::) But you can believe what you want. It amazes me at how easily people are controlled. It is almost like there is some mind altering substance in the water and people do not have the ability to think for themselves any longer.
As far as the cov it is ridiculous to blame an increase in cases on restaurants. It is hilarious that nobody wants to blame any of the thousands screaming in the streets at protests. That is one smart germ.

You're right about it being a swine flu and it did start in China. I did read about it yesterday. I think we should ban China from the U.S. forever. Seems a lot of viruses start there, whether intentional or accidental, whether from what they sell to eat or sanitation problems. Something is going on in China, and has been for years. We're just learning about this stuff now. I think SARS started in China, too. The worse part is we don't have a vaccine for this flu either.

Mutation in new coronavirus increases chance of infection
A specific mutation in the new coronavirus can significantly increase its ability to infect cells, according to a study by U.S. researchers.
The research may explain why early outbreaks in some parts of the world did not end up overwhelming health systems as much as other outbreaks in New York and Italy, according to experts at Scripps Research.
The mutation, named D614G, increased the number of "spikes" on the coronavirus - which is the part that gives it its distinctive shape. Those spikes are what allow the virus to bind to and infect cells.
"The number--or density--of functional spikes on the virus is 4 or 5 times greater due to this mutation," said Hyeryun Choe, one of the senior authors of the study.
The researchers say that it is still unknown whether this small mutation affects the severity of symptoms of infected people, or increases mortality.
The researchers conducting lab experiments say that more research, including controlled studies - widely considered a gold standard for clinical trials, needs to be done to confirm their findings from test tube experiments.
Older research has showed that the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 is mutating and evolving as it adapts to its human hosts. The D614G mutation in particular has been flagged as an urgent concern because it appeared to be emerging as a dominant mutation.
The Scripps Research study is currently undergoing peer review and was released on Friday amid reports of its findings.

A virus in not a disease. LOL!!! Well, it certainly can be! Also, scientists can use past knowledge to predict whether something is likely to jump to humans because of our closer and closer interactions with nature as the population grows and areas previously reserved as wildlife habitat decreases! You always act like you know everything and are the only one educated. Sometimes you make sense and provide good info; on other occasions you are off the mark. Educate your own self!

We went to town this morning and the mask welding people sure do have some evil glares. haha And NO it is not mandatory in my area that you wear them.

Idk what you mean a first covid and then a second. What I was talking about had nothing to do with covid. It was a new deadly we will all die virus. It only lasted a couple days and nobody mentioned it again. Kind of like after Nov you won't hear anything about cov any more.
I think a "second wave" means like when it is bad and then it gets better and nobody has it and then all of a sudden is is suppose to be bad again and a lot of people have it. They have lied about the numbers from the start. I do not know how they determine a 2nd wave though because they were saying that when they were still in their "1st wave". They just want to keep people scared. And there are so many brainwashed snowflakes afraid to come outside their home that is obviously is working.

This is basically a new strain of the flu. It is not going any where. They have said it will come back every fall just like the flu. Eventually it will be a yearly shot people can get just like the flu and the long list of other shots available in the fall. I have a person I know who takes every shot they come out with.

I have to work so staying home is not an option for me. I guess if I could stay home and live in my own little world at times it would not be that bad of an idea. haha I remember growing up a guy that was friends with my family had a mansion. He had 11 bedrooms and a mega huge house that had 2 guest suites that were basically like small apartments. There was a tennis court and a swimming pool. Living somewhere like that and never leaving home might be a good thing sometimes. As for my original post I never heard anything else about this. If you remember there was something every few days there for a while. Now it is mostly cov and the riots that dominate the news. I started this several weeks ago. I wish I had saved the link to the article or posted it. I just did not think about doing that. There are new flu strains every year so get ready for everything to be crazy.

Of course there's a new virus. People are starting to lose their fear of corona and we need something to tide us over til November. They've cried wolf so thoroughly that a lot of people aren't going to take it seriously if something way more serious does come along.
