Title: Why do you brush your teeth before going to the dentist
Post by: dreamyxo on August 07, 2020, 11:03:45 pm: If you're going to get them cleaned anyway why bother? I thought about this as I was brushing my teeth before I went to the dentist. I always brush my teeth before an appointment anyway. It's like washing your hair before you go to the salon.

At least that way, the dental assistant doesn't have to dig food out from between the teeth in order to clean them. It's kind of like cleaning your house before the cleaning lady shows up.

Exactly...I don't want them to do more work than they have to...or for them to tell me I'm not doing a good job....

No one wants to see someone's dirty teeth and smell bad breath. I go to Dr. Jeffrey Gross who works in one of the best dentistry in Lake County, Ohio (https://jeffreygrossdds.com/services/invisible-orthodontics-lake-county-ohio/) twice a year just for checking if everything is alright with my teeth. And I always brush my teeth before going to him. A year ago I had a teeth whitening and I was very happy with the result so I advised my dentist to my husband. He had crooked teeth and he decided to put on braces and since then his teeth look more beautiful and he has such a beautiful smile and I'm so proud of him.

i made the mistake once of not brushing my teeth before going to the dentist. It hurt so much more and took longer because the hygienist had to get the food out then start cleaning the teeth. I have never done that since!
