Today I went shopping and while I was in the kitchen putting the groceries away I felt a very sharp pain in my heel. It hurt a lot every time I took a step so I sat down and took off my shoe. There was a (dead) yellow jacket bee in my shoe that had stung me. How strange. :o

Ouch! It is strange that the yellow jacket bee ended up in your shoe! From what I know about yellow jackets, they have a pretty big stinger.

Oh dear, that is painful. If you have baking soda, you might try mixing a little with water to make a paste. Then put it on the sting area. It helps to ease the pain and draw out the poison.
I have used that remedy numerous times in my life when I got stung and it has helped very much.

That sounds painful! I wonder how it got there. ???

I have tried lots of things over the years, yesterday I used a piece of brown paper bag and vinegar and after 30 minutes It was hard to see where it stung me.
-
Oh no! I bet that hurt. As crazy as it is I am 31 years old and have never been stung by a bee or wasp.
-
i hope you get the stinger out. I have never been stung by a bee .

It really hurts...Ouch!

Wow, I remember when my son was younger and got stung in between his eyes. He didn't even know.

Oh, wow, stings can really be painful. That must have been a shock to find the culprit in your shoe. A couple of weeks ago, I got stung by something while spreading straw around the plants in my garden. I never saw what critter did the damage, but I was in pain for a few hours. It was very weird, but finally went away. Lesson learned, wear gloves while picking up straw.

When I was still working I was on my way home and kicked my shoes off in my car (wore heels then and feet were hurting) when I got home I put my shoes back on and immediately got a sharp pain in my left foot and same thing had a yellow jacket in my shoe ! Who would have thought.
-
Thank God!!! that you are still alive and well, it could have been worse..

Ouch, that must of really hurt! I have been stung myself but in a different way. I was walking outside barefoot and somehow stepped on a bee's stinger and it went into my heel. That was intense pain. I learned to always wear some type of shoe when outside.
