Just when you think you might be seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. I heard a rumor today that the new vaccine will also cover the new strain. I hope this is true.

I heard the same as well, which is encouraging, but we'll have to see. If it's like the flu, and we need a new vaccine every year, then we're in trouble....

[/quote]Mainly because of stupid people demanding the right not to wear masks while out in public! The virus easily mutates at each encounter! Any vaccine given now, will become useless because of the virus’ ability to mutate so quickly! Please, fight for your right to stay healthy & wear a mask! 😷Mask Up America! 😷

It is sad that stupid people think that mask will stop a virus. Educate yourself. The virus is almost 1000 times smaller than the pores in the material in the mask. Another fact you need to educate yourself on - the people who are getting sick are the people who wear a mask. The people who test positive are the people who wear a mask. SO it seem you maskers are the problem. As for fighting for your right to wear a mask - nobody cares if you wear a mask.

[/quote]If U lived near me i would be concerned if you didnt wear a mask.It wouldnt be to stop spread of virus.<hint make sure it covers your face COMPLETELY>

If only people would wear a mask and stop traveling so much..... Government needs to pay people to stay home and then it wouldn't be too much of an issue.

The flu mutates and changes every year. The flu is a Coronavirus. A lot of people are confused and I blame that on the CDC and WHO and the media. Any respiratory illness is considered coronavirus. ANY of them. ALL of them. Covid19 is like the H1N1 a few years ago. It is just a new respiratory illness. And yes it will mutate and change and be here every year. The thing is this virus has over a 98% recovery rate. Yes some people die from it. But people also die from the flu.
As far as a mask protecting you - do some research on your own. The virus is 750 to 1000 times smaller than the pores in the material in the mask. The virus can go right through the mask. But if people want to wear one to feel more safe that is fine. If you listen to the CDC they have changed their stance and now say the virus cannot live on surfaces and there is no need to be wiping off door handles and to be afraid to touch what somebody else has touched. But after mentally conditioning people's minds for 9 months you can't get them to see what they have been told for the past year was a lie.
I have seen several videos online where people physically attack someone not wearing a mask. I don't really get this line of thinking. It's nothing to you (not YOU specifically) what others are doing. Stay away from them.
Mind your own business. Most people in my area mind their own business. Some wear a mask and some don't. Occasionally you will have some random person say something smart but they usually back down pretty quickly if the person they try to attack doesn't back down.
As far as the other thread you started yes you have a right to be upset if someone comes to your home or a family gathering and they are positive. But if it had been 2 week she most likely was no longer positive or a threat. But if she was still sick and suppose to be quarantined that is a different story. I know a couple of people who were sick and positive with this virus and they were out all over town. That is different and that makes me mad. You also have to remember this time of year a lot of people may sniffle in colder weather and it is not a big deal. And contrary to what the CDC says we have not eradicated the common cold or the flu. lol The only reason there are no cases of that this year is because they call everything covid because they want to keep those numbers up. :(

Where do you think the government is going to get the money to pay people to say home? Then how do you think people will survive? Do you have everything you need to survive for 6 months without leaving home? Staring at a blank wall? Cause why should you get paid to stay home and others have to go to work? You know the healthcare workers, the police, the delivery drivers, mail carriers, grocery store workers, warehouse workers, and everyone else who is working to keep this country turning. As far as "paying people to stay home" they did. Everyone who was laid off was paid an extra $600 on top of their unemployment. Some people were making well over $1000 a week. Nobody stayed home. They had money to blow and they were running all over town and vacationing and everything else. The government hand outs need to stop. The country needs to be open and people need to go back to work. If YOU are scared then YOU find a way to get money staying at home and YOU stay at home.
