I hope we all take some time to reflect on what the holiday/day off is really about...and the legacy of MLK, Jr.

I know what the holiday means and the difference he made in America. I am honored, and I appreciate MLK, Jr. He would be so sad to see what the world has become.

I will definitely be remembering MLK and his work on racial equality.

I agree with Mizzkizz7 that Martin Luther King would be sad to see his country as it is today.  In fact, it might not be as it is today if he were still alive.  We must keep his spirit alive.

There was an episode on the boondocks about how if MLK was alive, he would be ashamed as to how black people are nowadays and couldn't believe this is what he fought and died for.

My son's school included a number of articles to read for all the students which was very inspiring and topical given what's going in our country now.
