Anyone else on the board interested in it?  I noticed a lot of people are buying DSLR cameras nowadays.

I personally am a Canon fanboy with a 400D, Sigma 18-50 in the bag.  Need a new compact camera though since my current one is going dead on me.  :(

Post some pictures you've taken if you wish.  I'm sure we could all learn from each other.

i really want one but considering the price.. it will take me a long time to come up with that sort of money.

A couple of my friends have taken up working as wedding photographers.  Considering how some professionals charge $3500-9000 per wedding, there's good demand for lower priced event photographers.

Granted, you have to know what you're doing first, so you'd have to treat the camera gear as an investment.
