Supermoon
set to appear on April 26
The Old Farmer's Almanac says the best time to see the April 26 will be at peak illumination -- 11:33 p.m. EDT.
You'll want to find an open area and watch as the moon is just above the horizon.
A supermoon is a full moon or a new moon that nearly coincides with perigee—the closest that the Moon comes to the Earth in its elliptic orbit—resulting in a slightly larger-than-usual apparent size of the lunar disk as viewed from Earth. The technical name is a perigee syzygy (of the Earth–Moon–Sun system) or a full (or new) Moon around perigee. Although the term supermoon is astrological in origin, it has no precise astronomical definition.
Wikipedia
The next supermoon will happen in May. It will be especially fascinating as it will be the closest supermoon of the year (222,116.6 miles) and will coincide with a total lunar eclipse in some places, which means it will take on a reddish look. The Old Farmer's Almanac says it will happen at 7:14 a.m. EDT on May 26.
By Espenak's definition, there was already a supermoon in March and there will be another in June.

One more day! Lots of kids will be watching this!
So every year, a traditional name for the full Moon in April is the Full Pink Moon. It has other names, such as Sprouting Grass Moon, the Egg Moon, Fish Moon, Wildcat Moon, Deep Water Moon, Boiling Down of Sap Moon, and several more.
What time will the full moon be visible?
This full Moon—which is a supermoon, the first full Moon of spring, and the Paschal Full Moon —will be visible after sunset and reach peak illumination at 10:35 P.M. EDT.

Jeremiah 31:35
This is what Jehovah says,
Who gives the sun for light by day,
The laws* of the moon and the stars for light by night,
Who stirs up the sea and makes its waves boisterous,
Whose name is Jehovah of armies

Well I tried to stay up and see it, I only lasted till 1030, maybe the next one.
-
I saw it. But it looked like every other full moon (maybe a tiny bit bigger) and it definitely wasn't pink (not even a pinkish hue). :moon: :moon: :moon:

I missed it, hope to see the next one

I missed it too

I agree with everything you said.I was expecting more too.
I checked the sky around 1030 PM EST till around 1130 PM.
Plus we had a very clear night to view it.

Supermoon Madness
https://www.livescience.com/20093-supermoon-moon-myths.html
Myth 1 The Moon Makes Us Crazy. The word lunacy traces its roots to the word "lunar,"
Myth 2: The Supermoon Can Cause Disasters
The reason we have supermoons is because the moon's orbit is not perfectly circular. When it swings closer to Earth on its elliptical path, the moon does exert a bit more of a gravitational pull on our planet. But it's nothing Earth can't handle.
Tidal forces around the world will be particularly high and low, with the moon exerting 42 percent more force at its closest point to Earth than it does at its farthest, according to Joe Rao, SPACE.com's skywatching columnist. This extra force doesn't have an appreciable effect on disasters such as earthquakes and tsunamis, however.

The May supermoon, also known as the “flower moon,” will be the second of three consecutive supermoons in 2021. Experts say the May 26 lunar eclipse will be a full one in the western United States and a partial eclipse in the eastern U.S. The full May "supermoon" will be the second of three consecutive supermoons in 2021.
