I was just reading an article about how to stop hackers and they said turn off your cell phone instead of rebooting it. I turn my phone off when I go to bed and sometimes I even forget to turn it on a few hours after I wake up.

I never turn my cell phone off. I would forget to turn it back on.
-
I have never turned off my cellphone. I put it to charge when I go to sleep. It's an interesting advice. I am happy to turn off my cellphone at night if it helps to prevent hackers.
-
I can only think of one instance where I have but for me, what would be the point? I don't keep anything of value on my phone anyway so the hackers wouldn't have anything to steal.
-
I never turn my cell phone off. It stays on all the time because I don't have a landline so this is the only way someone can get in touch with me.
-
I do whenever it's acting up.
-
No, I don't. I am usually charging my phone.
-
I shut my phone off at night so I am not woken up.
-
No, not really.
-
yep not much battery power so yeah
-
I turn mine off when I get tired of all the calls we don't want.
-
I turn off my phone every dern night. Who wants to be awakened during the night?
Most of the calls I get are not really from anyone I know; just trying to advertise something. >:(
-
i usually charge my cell at nightand never have thought about turning it off. something to think about. :rainbow: :rose: :peace:
-
Yes I do turn off my phone when I sleep at night.
-
I rarely turn off my phone, but sometimes I need no one to bother me
-
No , i never turn my phone off, the only time my phone is off is if the battery runs out
-
When I"m out, sometimes I do, especially if the battery is getting low, so I can save it for later
-
I always power off to get a hard reset instead of restarting my phone but no, I don't ever turn my cell phone off; I listen to music throughout the night. It's not a bad idea though and thanks for the info.

I also feel like hackers would be disappointed with what they gather in my phone- nothing juicy here lol

I never turn my phone off, at night I charge it when I’m sleeping.
-
Yes I do
-
you can also use Do not Disturb on your phone. Only your starred contacts will be able to reach you
-
I never turn mine off, I just put it on silent mode at night.
-
I think I will start turning mine off at night. We have had 3 Amber alerts of the middle of the night, it take for ever to go back to sleep.
-
How do you reboot your cell phone?
-
Yes, I turn it off sometimes
-
I used to turn my cellphone off when I go to sleep and turn it back on when I wake up. Seems to be a good practice to prevent hackers from the article below. I will start doing it again now.
-
I have never heard that before.
I do turn my cell off sometimes :wave:and i do enjoy having it off for a while! :rainbow: :pumpkin: :peace:
-
I used to turn my cell phone off but now I don't. Unless it acts up or someone abuses and bugs me to death calls or texts relentlessly than it goes off. I just find it annoying to have to turn off all the time
-
I've never turned my phone off. When people calls me on one phone, they then go to the other.
-
I don't. I restart it every now and then but rarely do I ever turn it off and let it stay off.
-
I feel the same way; there's nothing to see on my phone either.

-
I have it on do not disturb all night and just restart it once in awhile.
-
Nah, I never do it. The only times my phone might shut off is when the battery is on 0%. Man, do you really think some hackers give a damn about you and your life? Are you a millionaire or a state dignitary? I don't think so, that's why you shouldn't be worried about it. I don't understand why someone would turn their phone off. Don't you forget to turn it back on? I think you should be more afraid of number tracking apps like numbertrackerpro.com (https://www.numbertrackerpro.com). And trust me, there is nothing that helps you against them.

Funny I just did! Couldn't get my phone calls to appear, even called the phone myself, then decided to on/off and presto! All was back!
-
My cell phone is my only phone so I never cut mine off. Sometimes I have to restart it, but I need to keep it on so someone can reach me if they need to.
-
To be honest, I did it some years ago, because I found out that my ex-boyfriend had started to follow me, and my friends said that they saw him how he was going after me with maps of my location. Anyway, it was a freaky moment in my life, but I'm glad that my friends advised me to change my phone number and mobile phone. After this situation, I started to send them just SMS from https://quackr.io/temporary-numbers/germany because, at that moment, it was the best possibility to be safe. I hope none of you weren't in such a situation.
-
Not my problem ,no cell phone. Have a tablet.
-
Nope, i don't because i know i wont get spam calls or text messages. I only provide my personal phone number to the people i trust, to the ones i dont, i give a virtual number from smspinverify.com (https://smspinverify.com/). I really recommend it to you.
-
I never cut my cell phone off because it is the only phone I have. I use it for my alarm clock so if I cut it off I would not wake up on time.
-
Turning off your cell phone when you go to bed is a good practice for conserving battery life and ensuring uninterrupted sleep. However, it's worth noting that simply turning off your phone may not necessarily protect it from hacking attempts or security threats.
While turning off your phone can temporarily disrupt potential hacking activities, it's not a foolproof method for stopping hackers. Rebooting your phone, on the other hand, can sometimes help resolve software glitches or clear temporary data that could potentially be exploited by hackersㅤ (https://calcola-codice-fiscale.it/)

If I turned it off I would not be able to see what time it is if I wake up. ???
