Title: Christmas shopping early?

I heard something about people should buy items early due to potential shipping delays coming down the road due to COVID

The shipping delays is more of a lack of truck drivers getting products here and there and the backlog of ships backed up in the pacific off shore waiting to be unloaded. Its not just covid in general the mandates are costing jobs across the board even truck drivers in a time we need truck drivers. Shopping early would be good because you can get what you want now if you can get it

I started asking for christimas ideas from the family and will be shopping early this year.

you should understand that because the mail here is very slow. I pay my bills online or by phone now because I got my yearly sewer bill and it was overdue with the $3.00 fine I just paid it without saying anything, I signed up for the paperless pay online as well. so with this story you should do something else for your loved ones.

I ran into that in January of this year now I have 3 mail. The rest I take to the induvial places and pay them.

Yes, you need to start.  I usually starts in September, but my grands are older so what they want costs a lot so they only get about three gifts

shopped on amazon outlet found a few things for christmas. gonna do more think people are complaining about shortages in stores. yes the ports have stuff but not many truck drivers to haul away.

All the sales after Christmas, make me think it's not smart to buy anything just before, but to purchase all gifts for the next year right after.  This would only be expensive once, as the following year all the gifts would be ready to wrap!!  Better yet, buy gift cards through out the year and give those. Fast and you get a deal on the sites you earn them on so they cost less.

I started my Christmas shopping in September and purchased things off the list when I saw them on sale and clearance.

I have bought a couple of things right now.  I will probably start buying more next month.  I don't like to wait until the last minute because I hate crowds.

Usually I do start shopping early so that I can relax and enjoy the holidays, but am a little behind this year.

It was in the news last week about people should get a just on buying their Christmas gifts.  There there seem to be a shortage on everything.

I heard that as well. I haven't started yet as I thought that worse case scenario I would give gift certificates to others.
