In my county (don't know about whole state), gas prices went up 28 cents/gal in a week. Now costing  $3.56/gal. Bacon went from $3.99/lb. to $6.98/lb. in less than a month. All beef has gone up $1/lb in 2 weeks and some cuts are even higher. Even lunch meat starts at $6.98/lb.

Tell me this isn't hyperinflation... and it's only going to get worse. It's called supply and demand. When people don't do their jobs and prefer to sit at home, the supply goes down while the demand stays  the same. Biden doesn't care. No one in this administration cares. This is part of their agenda. So many jobs yet he pressures companies to put a mandate on the vaccines so people are fired which makes the job situation even worse.

Anyone wonder why Biden opened the border? My theory is they will be given the jobs. Already they have given work permits to over 5000 ILLEGALS so evidently the Biden administration will prefer illegals over the citizens. Yesterday 3000 broke through the police line at the southern border of Mexico. They were part of another group of mixed countries, even Africa, not the 50,000 to 100,000 expected. They haven't reached the Mexican border yet. I'm sure they, too, will be welcomed with open arms by this government. Just think how much the taxpayers will be helping them with the healthcare, shelter, jobs, food, education, etc.  while the poor of this country still go without the necessities. At least Texas is doing something about it.

If anyone thinks I'm made, you're right and more people need to open their eyes and see what's really going on in this country. At least Marjorie Taylor-Greene has guts and fights for us. We need more in Congress like her.  I could go on and on but I'll stop now.

Hyper inflation is already here and the turkey thing is more of a shortage than price just going up. Last year they had turkey shortages that had to do more with lack of feed so less birds born and fed

Hyperinflation is not coming, it's been here all along.  I saw people doing their Christmas shopping.

I fear about sustained period of inflation as well, given what I see in grocery store prices around me.

Everything is increasing.  Gas, food and products that you need to just live.  You go to the store and the shelves are empty or you can't find what you need.

Just saw an ad for Aldi and the turkeys were .68 lb limit two .. so that is a relief to hear, too bad Walmart no longer price matches.  We have an Aldi's being built close, and one about 20 miles away.

When prices shoot up on some items, I just stop buying them.  I haven't bought bacon in a while.  It's just too pricey.   :turkey:

It's all about supply and demand. If more people go back to work the supplies will get to the stores and the demand will go down and so will the prices.

More and more products are out of stock every time I go to the store. What a mess this country is in. So sad.

I wonder when and where it will end. The gas pump and the grocery store now require a credit check/personal loan/co-signer.

I feel that it's already here as well, there are some items in supermarkets that are up 10-15%.

Hyperinflation is not coming, it's always been here.  Even Dollar Tree and other stores like that has increased the prices on all their items to be sold.

True!  My favorite Dollar store ( 99 cent Stores) has also increased prices on things!  Upwards of .50 most times!  I wonder if the reason some shelves are empty is because the items are more expensive to purchase and they do not want to pass that increase on to the shoppers.

Yes it is definitely here now.  I can't hardly afford bacon because it costs so much for a pound.  Chicken wings use to be one of the cheapest part of the chicken, now it is outrageous.
