I just noticed I got charged a couple grand for staying in hospital for 24 hrs due to covid-19 and insurance covered some of it. Thsi is out of pocket. Does this seem normal? I was only in hospital for one day. just seems too high for out of pcoket epense. Any way to get relief?

Unfortunately, it is probably normal. My best advice is to call the hospital and see if they have any ideas for discounts and if not, they will usually work with you on a payment plan. I am scared for my mom, as my father was in the hospital for 9 days with covid and died from it. She hasn't told me yet what type of bills she is getting. I am thankful he had some life ins to help.

Unfortunately, these days it does. But i would contact your insurance company first to dispute the claim. good luck! :rainbow: :rose: :peace:

Medicare premiums went up 35.00 ea month, prob due to the hospital bills insurance companies were forced to pay for Covid complete coverage, that ended, and now they are returning to the 80 % coverage from before Covid.
