I have never had a problem with scams or anyone trying to scam me to access my credit card but I did yesterday. Thank heavens my card company looks out for their customers. I wouldn't have known the first thing to do about it. They contacted me about a charge someone was trying to make on my card and they knew something was up because I am pretty regular with the companies I use my card with. it was only for $52.00 for groceries(?) but I don't buy groceries on line from anyone. Within 2 minutes of calling my credit card company, they denied the charge, closed my account and opened a new account for me, sending me a new card. I've had the old account since 1997 so it's going to be hard to get used to a new one ;). They said something about also transferring my automatic accounts over to the new one. So watch out!
Hackers seem to be getting smarter every year.

I wish people would leave people alone. They should spend their time doing something constructive instead of trying to hurt other people.

You have to watch out for others trying to get something fornothing. There are a lot of dishonest people that don't care how it will effect the ones they are cheating. It is hard now a days with everything going up. I live on SS and am having a hard time trying to stay within my budget.

I suggest getting a debit card where the money comes out of your bank acct.
You wont have any interest and you can can have the bank alert you on your cell phone with every transaction.
-
I agree, use debit or cash. That way you won't have a credit card bill or go over budget.

I use a debit card, but I have had problems with that too. The bank called me because I was charging gas in three different stares all within a couple of minutes. They think that was happening because of the skimmers that are put on the gas pumps when you are getting gas.

Then I would miss out on the $1,000 I made from kickbacks on my Credit Card this year.

I agree. I have no need for a Credit Card, but nice that you get some cash back.

I have no need for Credit, but I love getting free cash and all that takes is discipline enough to pay it off in full every month, which I have done for many years.

Right. We are plenty disciplined, but I just don't want to mess with using a card. We mostly use cash. But good for you! If you want to do that, it's a good way to make some money.

My comment had nothing to do with your discipline, only mine. If you want to turn down free money, go for it. But I think it sure beats trying to find surveys that will pay me a DQ penny.
