Do you remember what your life was like before Internet? What would you be doing now if you didn't have the Internet?
-
Well, when I first started using the computer I was about 12. I went to a high school computer camp or some sort. They just let people come in and use computers to play games and whatever. I went and became addicted. Before that though..well I mostly did kid stuff. Playing with my friends, watching tv, school, etc. I wasn't picky considering I was still really young. But once I used a computer I couldn't live without it!

I remember playing Oregon Trail in elementary school. Who else remembers that game? That was my first time with computers - over 20 years ago. I didn't get on the internet until college when it was very new.

Sure do - humm, before computers even. Probably reading or watching tv.

Pfft...you guys...the internet is just a fad. It will never catch on. Nobody is going to be flocking to the internet to take educational classes or order stuff. Online music distribution will never hit mainstream, blah blah blah...
Note that the article linked was written in 1995. I don't think anybody has ever been so wrong.

That has got to be, without a doubt, one of the biggest epic fails in the history of technology. The best, most ironic part? We're here, laughing about it almost 15 years later on the Internet!

I have been using the Internet since I was about 7 years old.

Yes, I didn't care. I was always too drunk to notice anything around me. Now I am alive in the Lord!!! I use the internet to type Bible Studies and reach people all over the world, with a chance they may be saved.

I bought my first AT clone in 1986. I still have it. Used punch cards in college ten years before that. Wow, no cell phones then either. Used to use typewriters with carbon paper to make copies. Gasoline was cheap pre internet. Ah the good old days..

Before the internet, bookkeeping was done by hand. I worked in a small office where each Over the counter sale was written up by hand on an invoice that had multiple copies. Service work done by the crews was typed onto invoices. Entries were made by hand into Sales Journals, Cash Receipts Journals, and Cash Disbursement Journals.

I would probably be sleeping more!

Lol I would be so bored without the internet.

I like the Internet a lot, it is how I get information about music, other countries, about other people, and about the local weather, too.

This feels like therapy. ;D I am an internet addict. :confused1:
I used to read and watch TV. Internet has become part of my everyday routine. If I'm not working or spending time with family or friends I'm on the internet. On a typical day I'm on it for atleast 10 hours.
