Which do you prefer, dogs of cats?

I love dogs. I once had a dog that followed me everywhere including sitting infront of the bathroom door. I can't seem to leave her site. She would running into the large windows trying to chase after me when I leave for work. I love how she is so loyal. You can't find that trait in other animals. Nothing beats the feeling of having her waiting for me after a 14 hours day. It's the same each night, she is by the door waiting for me to come home. I can see her large brown eyes starring at me. I felt wanted and loved. How could anyone not like dogs?

I love them both. We actually have 3 dogs and 1 cat

I think I would prefer cats.

I prefer cats. Much easier to take care of.

I'm a lover of all animals so it's a toss up. Right now, I have a cat and he's just the sweetest darn thing but next year I will be inheriting a house full of pets, close to 6 or 7 I believe :o

dogs, Ive had my cocker spaniel for 5 years now. cats just love to jump and pee in my Christmas tree.

Dogs! I love dogs! I had a cat and kinda want another, but I will still always prefer dogs. I can never be without a dog, they are truly man's best friend.

Dogs are definite friendlier and you can teach them cool tricks too! 8)

We have 5 cats and 2 dogs. 1 turtle 2 fish tanks and are thinking about getting a ferret, rabbit, genuie pig, or a hamster or gerbile. If i could i would get a lap dog but our dogs here are 3 and 1 and still really hipper.

I am not able to have dogs or cats where i currently live. If i had to choose I would choose a dog because I am severely allergic to cats. I enjoy the quiet company of cats, but dogs are more at will to play and I hate to say it more of a people person. This is my perspective. :)

I like both. Cats are easier to take care of for sure, but you can't take them out walking with you either. Gotta take the good with the bad I guess, i.e.; my Maltese dogs: dumb as rocks, cute as buttons.

I like cats a lot better. They are cleaner, not as smelly, and a lot cuter. And they are affectionate, but still independent, not as bothersome and slobbery as dogs.

I would have to say dogs, because we have 2 and me and my 3 kids are allergic to cats, well basically there hair. :dontknow:

Dogs! They're happy to see you no matter what and they force you to exercise so you can't come up with excuses and become a couch potato! You can't put off those daily walks when they give you those puppy eyes :)

We had a dog, he chewed up everything, even a souvenier from my sisters baby shower, made me upset, dog go bye bye, we got a cat now, he just voices his opinion, says hello, and opens doors, I think I will stick with the cat.

dogs they are a mans best friend. you can take them for walks and play fetch.
they seem to have a personality like people and they are so smart

Dogs, definitely. Although I own both, my dog is my pal. The cat decides when she wants to be my pet, but all I have to do with my dog is look at him and he's at attention, ready for anything.

Dogs are definitely better. They come and greet people who come into the house, instead of cats which typically run away or don't even get up when someone comes home. I feel like cats are very antisocial, just like that kid that never wanted to do anything in school, just sit alone.
