Do you text while driving?? :angry7: I try not to... but sometimes I do it!
-
Nope! I have no use for a cell phone.
-
If someone wants to talk to me, they should do it in person. :D
-
I know that I shouldn't, I just can't help it :-)
I have some sort of OCD... A txt message MUST be answered!
-
Nope- it's completely dangerous.
-
:-X I have to say that I have done it before, I try not to, but sometimes it just has to happen.. :crybaby2:
-
Nah it's too dangerous in my book. A friend of mine does it and it scares me to no end while I'm in the passenger seat. Be careful, people!
-
It's completely forbidden in our state of CA to drive and text simultaneously or risk a fine.
-
No, never have and never will. I don't even talk on my cell phone while driving especially if I don't have an ear piece or its somehow hands free which I seldom have with me at the time.
Driving while texting is the same as driving with your eyes closed.
-
This should be a no brainer. Nothing is that important. It is selfish to put others at risk for dangerous behavior. It should be against the law everywhere. You may think you are in control, but it can only take a split second or two to cause an accident.
-
I have done it maybe two or three times but that has been very rare and I won't do again.
-
Crazy to do this. Lady totaled my wife's Camry in May because she was texting and didn't realize in time that traffic had stopped. Had a 2 year old in the van with her. Totally insane. :sad1:
-
Absolutely NOT!
-
Texting while driving sounds like a recipe for disaster! Don't do it!
-
My wife used to text me while she was driving, until we went to this house of horrors sort of thing (called the 99 for anyone who's heard of it, where they show the 13 most preventable causes of deaths that kill 99 teens every day) where they showed two cars destroyed in a head-on collision caused by texting and driving, the passengers either dead or dying with blood all over them and the cars. The driver of one car struggled to get out of his car, called 911 and then slumped dead through the broken window with blood draining from him. Freaked me out so badly, I made my wife promise she would NEVER ever text again while driving, and she has almost never done so since then. Now she waits until she is stopped at a red light, or she'll pull off the road first.
-
I don't text when I'm not driving so I guess I don't do it when I'm driving either.
-
I try not to do it, but I have been guilty of texting while driving, thats for sure.
-
no its too dangerous get onto my husband all the time for it
-
Only when I'm stuck at stop lights, or late at night when the road's empty.
-
I do but I am trying to stop. However, I do talk on my cell phone and I dont plan on stopping that. I have such a long commute that if I'm tired I have to talk to someone or I might fall asleep.

Texting while driving is one of the dumbest thing anyone can do. It's dangerous and thoughtless since if you get into an accident you risk hurting or killing someone else as well as yourself. In my opinion texting while driving is in the same category as drunk driving.
-
never, not worth the risk, whatever that person wants, they can wait.
-
I try not to do it because of the risk. I would hate to be the reason an accident occurs!

Where is that located? It sounds interesting and like it would be a good lesson for kids.
I don't text while I drive. I have talked on my cell when I drive, but I try not to. It is so dangerous.
-
I myself cant text while driving..and i hate it when ppl do it! Its really dangerous and i dont like it
-
I do all the time...not really a good idea but screw it. :angel12:
-
I use to text while I am driving..but not anymore!!!
-
NO!
Oh man, about 10 or so years ago, I was driving along and my cell phone rang, so I answered it.
Within that few seconds, I stopped at a green light and ran 2 redlights.
From that moment in time forward, I said "never again" and always turned off my phone
while in the car after that.
I can't imagine how people think they can multi-task efficiently with makeup, food, phone, texting, etc
while driving.
Seriously, you're hurling down the road in a hunk of metal at high speeds, while other hunks
of metal and infinite stationary objects are around you. Wouldn't logic say keep your focus
on the road and the safety of your life/lives of others'? ???
-
No. It's even more dangerous than talking; at least you're watching the road (sorta) when you talk.
-
No, I don't. I make who ever is sitting in the passanger seat do it for me and if I don't have anyone in the car I just wait until I stop driving.
-
No, It is a very dangerous thing to do, especially when you are in such a hurry and you are trying to do it and can't hardly keep your eyes on the road.
-
No I don't text while driving it is actually worse to text and drive than drink and drive!!! Of course depending on number of drinks! but alcohol is still legal to consume! in most states it is now ILLEGAL to text while driving!
-
Nope. Do not do it....I have enough trouble just sitting at home and texting...LOL.....
-
yup im guilty
-
Nope. It takes me forever to text when I'm not driving so trying to do it while driving would probably kill me. I do use my blue tooth capability to give me hands free functionality with my cell phone while driving, though. I do think cell phones are a huge and dangerous distraction for any driver but it's so hard not to use it, isn't it?
-
Bad enough talking on the phone which is illegal if your don't use it the correct way Now texting when you kill somebody then it will be to late they should making it as bad of a ticket as a drunk driving ticket at least the drunk is trying to pay attentionn to the road before the law catches up with him.
-
i have a time or two, but generally i use my common sense
http://www.drivinglaws.org/2008.php
this site shows just how much cell phone laws are increasing.
i'm not a fan of stamping a law on everything, but it makes
sense.
-
:sad1:CRAZY!!!!! I'm a disabled person who was hit by a car, and I really think if anyone textes while driving should have their drivers license taken away!
-
I don't even like to look at a msg when I'm driving, much less text; but I have done it, a few times a couple years ago.
My daughter wrecked the car I bought her texting. Glad she wasn't hurt. I don't text while driving anymore.
-
i can barely text while sittin still.. :bootyshake:
-
I am guilty I do text while I am driving. I aquired a skill of memorizing all the buttons on my phone so that when I text I don't have to look at my phone. I know I sound weird but i can't help it. The person I text the most is my sister who lives in Arizona. I don't get to see her everyday so when she texts me I feel like I have to text her right away. A bad habit that I got to break I know it.
-
I had relative, thought i wasnt close to them, die in that tragic way. I wouldnt do it because of that
-
I try not to do it but I do sometimes. I seen that video of texting while driving and it scared me. It should be illegal bc people already have enough distractions as it is.
-
BAD! BAD! BAD! BAD! IDEA. think it is a bad idea you are putting yourself indanger the people in the car with you in danger. and every one eles on the road with you in danger.if it is that important pull over or have someone in the car do it for you.
-
I try my best not too especially since I can't afford a ticket right now haha
