Fresh Prince of Belair!!! Will Smith was hilarious
This. Honestly, a lot of the typical "sit coms" are usually to heavy-handed and drama-dependant for my tastes, but if you've ever caught an episode of the Fresh Prince, it was legitimately hilarious. I mean, yeah, no show goes for more than three seasons without hit and miss, but the Fresh Prince was amazing.
Also: SEINFELD. SEINFELD SEINFELD SEINFELD. One of the greatest shows in all of history.
-
Fresh Prince or Roseanne for me.
-
hmmm...hard call. loved "Maude" especially, just because Bea Arthur was so raw for the times...and I always thought "Rhoda" won hands down over "Mary Tyler Moore"--"Facts of Life" from the 80's....and DEFINITELY "Fresh Prince"
-
you have to bring back the fresh prince.. I still watch that show every time I am flipping through the channels as see it is on.
-
Seriously NO OFFENSE But Seinfeld!!???? I tried to watch that show SO MANY TIMES but I couldn't stand that show. I can't believe that you can make a sitcom of ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL. Maybe that was the catch. I guess I just didn't get it :dontknow:

omg, totally left night court...and taxi!!...off my list up there. back when comedy meant just that...
-
The Cosby Show was a great one! Other greats were: The Honeymooners, I Love Lucy.
I also wish there were more of the old time Variety shows on TV today.... like The Carol Burnett Show and The *bleep* Van Dyke
-
Everybody Loves Raymond, one of my faves
-
Family Ties, I love Michael J. Fox.
-
Westwing, Seinfeld, Boy Meets World...
-
Boy meets World, and Married with Children.
-
LOL I forgot about Boy Meets World. I used to watch Step by Step. Tween shows
-
Frasier and Night Court are 2 that I miss.
-
Hmm... that's kind of a toughie. There are several comedies I loved, but several seemed to pretty much run out of stories to tell at the time they went off the air.
I'd probably have to go with Seinfeld. Some could argue they ran out of good storytelling, but really, a show always dubbed "about nothing" could go on a long time, especially since it primarily revolved around the goofiness of each of their lives.
-
Barney Miller was the best ever one episode when they ate the weed brownies FUNNY
SQUISH SQUISH
-
How about Family Affair. That was a super cute show. I remember my sister and me watching it.
-
I would bring back Friends. That show was really funny. ;D
-
Hmmm this is an tough one. I like Night Court. But there have been many great shows that maybe were not considered Sitcoms that I would love to see - RIPTIDE, Simon and Simon, Golden Girls, Different Strokes, Webster, and ALF!!!!
I loved Alf, I knew my brainstorming would do it - I want ALF back!!!!
Dinosaurs too was a good one "NOT THE MOMMY"
:notworthy:
-
All in the Family. Seinfeld.
What them when I can.
-
Lol, why am i not seeing any Sanford and Son here?

and i was a late fan of seinfeld, just barely started watching last year. but it is pretty funny.
also wouldn't mind seeing new episodes of gilmore girls or friends. it kills me that they ended the way they did. i need closure! :)

Amos and Andy & The Real McCoys two of my all time favorites.
-
OK guys, I'm going way back. Got to be "the Honeymooners" Jackie Gleason as Ralph Kramden plus the rest of the gang were priceless. The banter between Ralph and Alice was hilarious. Their timing was impeccable. Ralph: (to Alice) " You're the type of person who would bend down on April Fool's day to pick up a pocket book. I wouldn't ". Alice: (to Ralph) "You couldn't".
-
Chico and the man
-
I miss Everybody Loves Raymond. I know all good things must come to and end though.
-
The *bleep* Van Dyke show. It was consistently quirky and always entertaining.

Sorry, but I can't pick just one. One of the more recent shows to be taken off the air is Arrested Development ~ LOVED that show and it's characters. It kind of reminded me of a 70's-80's show I used to watch when I was younger....SOAP, which was priceless!! I am a child of the 80's, so I miss shows like Night Court, Cosby, Family Ties, Alf, Cheers, and let's not forget Silver Spoons with Ricky Schroeder, lol....and what about Different Strokes and the Facts of Life?? I think they need to create a totally 80's network!
-
Definitely would be Murphy Brown. I loved that show.
-
There are so many, but I'd go with The Odd Couple.
-
Different strokes roseanne and facts of life
-

We never missed an episode of M*A*S*H It was one of the best! And I would love to see how the lives of the characters at "Friends" are moving on through the years. Reruns are great, but after getting acquainted with characters in these classic shows, it's hard to give them up.

What I would like to see is for them to bring back Variety Shows like the Carol Burnett Show etc. Always provided varied entertainment, stars, singers skits etc. Getting tired of "Reality" Shows.
-
I would bring back "Everybody Loves Raymond" I liked the mother and I love how sweet his family was and how adorable he was. They were the funniest just being themselves. The children were funny as well. I will always love that show. I loved the big goofy brother too. I think it would be 3's company. That's the first thing that jumped into my head and after I thought about it there really isn't anything else that I can think of. I think it's the Jack Ritter heart tug.
-
You know I loved a lot of comedies and then I see them and think OH goodY, sit and watch and think, "humph" not so funny or entertaining anymore. I liked "The Andy Griffith Show" Gomer Pyle, My 3 sons, Friends, The Munsters, and everything in between, so I cannot pick just one.
:peace:
-
