we would get swats here and there when we were bad, but as far as a real whipping i dont think i ever got one.

Yes they did. I hated it. They spanked me to the stoneage and back. I most likely won't when I have kids.

I never got hit as a kid, and I would NEVER hit my son, Why hit?
It is so stupid. Instead try teaching and being civilized, even animals
dont hit. So why would people?

It is abusive to get a beating.  I am not sure if you are trying to ask for help or not or how severe it is?

i always got hit when i was a kid through my teen life. i hated it most of the time i got hit for no reason so it damaged me emotionally and mentally. but since i met my wife it turned around pretty quick and i never will hit my child even tho my child will do bad things. you just gotta love em. my parents didn't loved me but i moved on.
