-
Well it sucks that it doesn't come your way. The ice cream truck went through my neighborhood about once a week last summer, but it hasn't came through yet this year. Hopefully when it warms up it will.
-
I can go even older than that - i remember the Helm's bakery truck that drove around Southern California in the 60s..............never mind, i am just getting old. LOL :)
-
Mmmm...Snow cone ^_^
-
we have an ice cream truck that comes by every sunday afternoon. the kids hear the music and it is over from there.
-
The closest thing I have to an Ice cream truck is the Schwans man. He has some pretty good ice cream too.
-
Yeah Schwans does have good icecream. Our icecream trucks don't do snocones we have this sno cone stand that has amazing sno cones, soft soft ice and REALLY juicy.I love rainbow w/cream ;D
-
Growing up we had the Good Humor truck and Mr Softee. I never got Mr Softee only Good Humor. They sold candy as well. I still remember the tune. I remember when I saw it coming I'd stop playing outside and run in the house to get some change for some ice cream. My father kept a can of change on top of the cabinet and I'd have to jump up to get the can of change because I couldn't reach it or I'd pull up a chair and climb up to get it. Then a couple years later this guy had a snowball truck and he'd come by and call out Snowballs! the way he said it was funny. Ahh memories.

I remember the ice cream truck...we used to wave it down when we were younger. We live outside of town so it would just past our house..but we would stay outside and wave it down. I havent seen an ice cream in a long time!!
-
I used to own a truck lol and now I live in an area that is so quiet!! I never even see kids playing outside lol...I used to love getting the wrestling pop lol
-
i grew up in southern ky -- i thought ice cream trucks
existed ONLY in movies and t.v. shows (i kid you not!)
...the first time i heard that little twinkling music out in
the distance, after moving to the ohio 'burbs, it was love 8)
-
I stopped getting the ice cream truck in my neighborhood six or so years ago because their little truck couldn't make it up my humongous hill.
I was ice cream- deprived...
-
we dont get the icecream truck down our block anymore i want a damn snow cone lol :P
i know they had the best ice cream i still havent been able to find one of my fav from a ICT the choco taco lol better than it sound but then they stop coming to my street
-
We still have one that runs through our neighborhood. Unfortunately, because of the bad economy he charges inflated prices for his stuff. I guess he has to do the to stay in business. :BangHead:
-
I can't get any ice cream, because I'm diabetic, but we do have one that comes on our street in the summer!
-
The ice cream truck went down my block this week, My daughter has a snow cone, $2 now, it is getting expensive.
-
We still have one that comes through our town. My friend said that they even go through the trailer park where they live. How cool is that?
-
LOL Living in Ohio we have one that drives down the road between 3-6pm six days a week from May to September.
-
;) I love ice cream too! Go to the local store...forget about the ice cream truck!
-
We have the ice cream trucks come thru all during the summer. But I don't particularly like the ice cream trucks of today. Nothing beats the soft cone ice cream, that was the best.
-
as a kid i remember the ice cream truck would come down our street 3 or 4 times a day in the summer, maybe twice a day in spring or fall. but i have noticed that where i live now we are lucky if the ice cream truck comes down our street once a week. i think it might have something to do with the number of kids in the area. where i grew up there were so many kids on our street that the ice cream truck would have a line at the window when it stopped. where i live now there are maybe 5 or 6 houses with kids and i have never seen anyone stop the ice cream truck. so he probably just decided not to waste his time on my street anymore. which is fine by me because i always make sure i have ice cream and posicles in my freezer! :)
-
NO :fish:
-
we still do but the prices are ridiculous! they charge 3-7 for just one ice cream! >:(
-
it still comes here almost everyday!! i hear it for at least an hour, lol!! Never buy anything though.
-
I have always LOVED ice cream but when I was growing up everyone would call it the "snow cone truck" because that was all they had: stupid flavored ice! How does that possibly compare with ice cream?
-
I remember the ice cream truck as a child. Now I live to far out in the country . My kids would love it though :binkybaby:
-
I think they are high, you can go to the store buy a Whole box for the price of one he sales.
-
We are lucky to see our ice-cream truck twice a season, but I still am glad to get one.
-
ice cream truck still comes by every once in awhile but has got expnsive to buy much from them.
-
I have not lived in a neighborhood with an ice cream truck for 20 years and every summer i hope to see one in our area I think we I retire I will have to get one and bring that joy to the kids in the area nothing beats the sound of the ice cream truck running to get money hoping y9ou don't miss them or the good stuff isn't all gone by the time you get back what a memory thank you!
-
we still get the occasional ice cream man truck in our neighborhood, but I remember as a kid sitting by the window waiting to hear the music to run outside and scream ICE CREAM!
-
When I was a kid we use to listen for that silly music, and it was great not to have to walk to the store, or wait for dad to get home with the car to take us to the icecream stand......
-
The ICT still comes around our area in the summer. I guess it depends on where you live.
-
Yes ice cream trucks in area are scarce meaning might see one once a month or something. Then when it does come it is 2 dollars for a75 ice cream from walmart so thats where we go for our ice cream treats these days.
-
they always ripped you off though
-
yes where i live there has been a ban on icecream trucks coz one 3 yr old got killed ..by getting hit by a car going after the icecream truck 35 yrs ago. the ban was lifted some time early last year or this year. her family wasnt happy at all but they put all these new rules into play to make these kids safe and help keep these kids safe nowadays. i knew about it and my mother had got icecream from it but i have never seen it since the ban was lifted.
-
I stopped getting the ice`cream truck around here too...instead I just make my own ice-cream sundaes at home and do not have to wait for it...lol with strawberries, whipped cream, nuts and a cherry on top! YUM~I think i'll make one now..brb :P ;D

-
I haven't seen them for a looooooooog time.
-
I can go even older than that - i remember the Helm's bakery truck that drove around Southern California in the 60s..............never mind, i am just getting old. LOL :)
Don't feel too bad, I can still remember milk being delivered at the doorstep. As a kid, I would wait for the milkman to bring our milk. It was soon after that deliveries were stopped and you had to buy it at the store.
It seems there are fewer ice cream trucks that come around.
-
we get an ice cream truck every once in a while :)
-
i miss hearing the jingle play
-
I used to love getting ice cream when the truck stopped in front of my house. However, he hasn't stopped on my block in years so I do not get to have any more ice cream sandwich's in the summer. >:(
-
ohhh...A Snow Cone does sound good. What flavor would you get? I will go with Cherry.
