Did you ever wonder how good you know the people who hang out with, live with, and associate with? Think about it, unless you are constantly by their side how do you know what they do or who they are when your not around(including your very own children as they grow up)?

I think you only know some one to point, everyone has there own secrets but how many secrets a friend or family member may have depends on how much they trust you as a person you know moral fiber and all that jazz.
But i could be wrong but that's just what i think ;)

I think I know my parents and my brother quite well, but sometimes I feel like I don't know my friends at all.

You never know a person as well as you think you do. :/ It's a scary thought.

I think people have two personalities one for day and one for evening. If you work with people they act one way and if you see them outside of work they are totally different.

I think about that with the people I work with. I spend up to 10 hours a day with them but honestly I wouldn't hang out with them outside of work and I often think that if I new them outside of work I wouldn't want to work with them. :o

@alina6, I think you are so right in your assessment. It is weird that an employer can put a group of people together to do tasks all day long around each other but it makes you wonder how they ever assembled such a group doesn't it? I know in many of my jobs if it wasn't for the job, there is no way I would be around most of the people. A good number of my former co-workers over the years have been really crass people with poor manners and low levels of intelligence in positions that should have required a much higher degree of smarts. Also a great many of them were just down right lazy which I also can't stand. I guess that's what makes it good that we can choose our friends but not our family or our co-workers. Have a great day!

Good question you ask. I feel that I know my fiancee very well and can pretty much tell what he is thinking by how he is acting.

I think I agree with shmooi on this, u can never really know a person inside out even ur spouse. You only know them for whom they want you to know them as. Unless u have a magical power that can see ppl's mind n what they thinking u just have to be sincere n truthful to urself n ppl around u.

You can think you know a person but I do agree that they only let you know what they want you to know. I was married to someone for 18 years and didn't know him half as much as I thought I did.

Over the years I have been let down by some people; my parents, friends, family members and ex's. But, you still have to trust people and just look for the signs if they are telling the truth. We have a very good sense of when people are doing something shady or not telling the truth. I trust my instinct even if the person claims the opposite. But, I am happy I found a fiance I trust and love, it has taken a lot of heart break to trust and believe in someone again. But, I am soooo glad I did. :heart: :heart: :heart: :heart: May everyone find love and trust....have a great day!

Yes, I do know the people I am with day in and day out. I am with my family day in and day out and think I know them very well. I don't hang out with strange people. I am sure if I was hanging out with strange people then no I would not know him or her or them very well. At times, when you think you know someone, and you realize you don't know them well at all.

I don't associate with a lot of other people. Mostly because I don't actually have a job and I only have a few friends that I see every once and a while.

Personally I think I know my friends that I dont always see to a day to day basis better than I do my own family. The people that you see on a day to day basis could still be strangers.
