Scalp massage is good.  You should also be eating a healthy diet and getting exercise.

you have to eat certain foods to help hair growth. if you are having problems then you need to take vitamins with food. keep hair moisturized and keep your ends healthy. don't put oils and chemicals in the scalp. because the scalp need to breathe for the hair to grow. hair in a way is almost like plants. a lot of people think you have to put a lot of stuff in the scalp but all they are doing is cutting off circulation. you should use conditioners good for your hair type and leave in conditioners are really good to. be careful of damaging shampoos.

In addition to the comments above, I have heard that it is a good idea to condition your hair more often to stimulate growth.  I do not know of any products that will grow your hair faster.

also I have been using a shampoo lately called biojen by a brand called pravana that is supposed to promote hair growth...i tried mane & tail and it may have worked but i thought id try something else out just to see...

i have been trying not to straighten my hair as much

also i heard that not washing it as often is good for it but i have trouble with it because i feel gross if i dont wash it every day haha

I am an older female, and when I noticed several years ago that my hair was thinning in the back and then I developed bald spots in the front, I was devastated.  I'm sure males feel the same way, but for a woman it is particularly hard, I think.  I tried a lot of things, including Rogaine and that type of product, and went to a dermatologist for steroid shots.  They gave me nothing but a headache.  At the point when it became more noticeable, I began wearing wigs. Although I have learned to style my wigs to look more natural and have been complimented on my "hair," I would like to find something that would help me regrow my hair, short of expensive medical procedures.  I did some research and did find that some high blood pressure medications, which I have to take, can cause hair loss.  Has anyone found anything that might help.  I guess this is an impossible dream.  If something like that were invented that really worked, I'm sure the inventor would make a huge fortune!!

If you get the ones with iron, they will constipate you and give you a metallic taste in your mouth sometimes. I think you can get them minus the iron though.

Vitamin E, C, B6, B5, B3, and A is essential in promoting hair growth. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that not only makes your skin glow, but also improves your scalp's circulation, which in turn stimulates faster hair growth. Vitamin C, also an antioxidant, helps in maintaining the overall health of your hair. Vitamin B6 has a part in the creation of melanin, which is responsible for giving your hair its vibrant color. Vitamin B5 helps prevent premature graying of your hair. Vitamin B3, also known as niacin, is like vitamin E because it also helps in improving the blood circulation at your scalp. Vitamin A assists in the production of natural oils to prevent your scalp from drying.

Found this on a vitamin website. I just looked at the vitamins I take daily (Womens Essential Vitamins plus Iron) The only vitamin the pills I take is lacking is vitamin B5.
