LIMEWIRE is not illegal , but sharing copy written materials such as movies and music cds is.  You can use it to share your personal files and home movies and that is perfectly legal.

Hay I just wanted to let you know that you should use Clean Disk Security if you Downloaded some thing by mistake that turned out to be ileagal CP.  This cleaner is the same thing the government uses befor they dispose of there computers.  You can find this Cleaner at http://www.theabsolute.net/sware/  It is a good thing to have.  There are also other good Cleaners to have.

I run 7 differant cleaners every night just to make sure I am free and running sweet.

Let me put it this way What the government dont know can not hurt you.  So inotherwords talking about what might be illeagl activity in a forum is not really smart.  If you suspect some thing may not be leagal they you should keep it to your self.  By discusing what you may have or may not have downloaded for free from a site such as Limewire or other sites like that that may violate copy right  laws is not smart.    The Police and FBI are always checking forums for leads.

Quite truthfully I feal that it is stupid that we can not share things.  I do not know if you are old enough but years ago they did not have the laws like they have now.  Years ago you could buy a tape and make a copy for a friend and not wory about any kind of fine.  It is interesting that the same people who make these laws more then most likely use to do the same thing as we do.

So to put it simply what one doesn't know can not hurt you.  Do not discus stuff like this on the net cause you nver know who is reading what you write.

Froggyjoe,

I personaly do not agree with having to pay for some thing that some one wants to share.  Why should we have to pay for some thing when years ago this law did not even exist.  Years ago people could share records tapes and other things with out wory.  The same people who write these laws even did this.  so what gives them a right to tell us we can not do this?

good pt jazz heres mine.  The artists worked very hard to get to where they are and they get cant think of the word but money from thier songs that people buy right. its the same thing on music sites. you rob them of thier commision. and I have problems with people downloading free when others are honest and pay for the sites. wouldnt you want to get paid for your music if you were a musician and found out you just lost out on alot of commision cause others are downloading your music for free? think about it.

plus those that go inot a music site and down load free music  with out a membershipthey deserve what they get. such as scratch sounds in thier down loads spy ware and spam. when you pay for the site you dont get that. thats another benifit you get for paying for the music sites.

i actually own more than half the music i down loaded but i don't like to drag my Cd's back and forth between the house and car( my cd rom doent work) that's the only reason i downloaded them. but i would rather be safe than sorry, a couple of songs isnt worth jail or being sued. i just deleted everything to be on the safe side. and its not like i TRIED to screw someone over. but jazz i am a big girl and if i did something wrong i will own up to it.. on another note anyone know where i can download LEGALLY  Alejandro Fuentes  in concert ( that one i cant find in the store) probably cuz he's a Norwegian singer

or do the right thing and pay for a site such as real.com, napster. when you download those freebies with out membership. the artists loses thier royalties on them. and plus you are more at risks of getting a bunch of hidden junk attached to those and high risks of damaged files. but hey if thats what you want to get go for it down load for free. its your computer. not mine.

i was wanting a legal download site, like my sister pays i think 20 cents a download. something like that  i don't want a bunch of spyware, if i have to pay 20 bucks a month i am ok with that, oh, and a site where everything is labeled properly, i don't want anything like this incident happening again.

( i am a little slow when it comes to computers)

lmao ~ laughing my *bleep* off.

i am a HUGE hater of that crap... as i mentioned before.

i feel time is MUCH better spend building real life communication skills... such as spelling, sentence structure, reading comprehension, and all the rest.

but we have a whole generation reading their cell phones rather than books.. so what do we expect?

that said.... there are websites to which you can look up texting lingo, but i look at it like this...

if youre too lazy to attempt to articulate expressing yourself, i too lazy to give a damn about what youre trying to say.

its not "on me" to understand your language, its "on you" to express yourself in a manner that we both understand. (i spent 13 years in europe and struggled with my broken german and french.... and their broken english, but we got along just fine... BECAUSE WE TRIED!)

THAT SAID..... i received a few.... and my FINAL warning about being too confrontational on fusioncash.... and i hope no one takes this comment as such.... its just one :cat:'s opinion on the rather bleak trend of accepted laziness.

CP is the abreveation for Kiddy *bleep*.  And I was telling that person whow downloaded it by mistake that he or she better use a good cleaner because the police are always watching sites like limewire.   You do not want to get stuck in some thing because of an accident.  Trust me these days they could not care if it was an accident or on purpouse.  I have seen many cases because law runs in my family.  A few people in my family are Lawyers and they have handled some very big cases the made the news.  So as I was saying and advising that person better make have a good cleaner to remove all evidence of the so called mistake.

i agree 1000% with that.... imagine selling your computer that some of that crap was d/led without your knowledge.... then its stumbled on by another person.... and they take it to the cops.

do you think the cops will say..... "oh, it must have been a mistake?"
