Its a shame young women and men have to sell themselves like that.  What is really bad is the young kids look up to her and now she is the one who looks and is acting like the tramp.  If she would just be herself she will continue to rise higher but she is listening to someone that is totally wrong!!   :angry7: :BangHead: :dontknow:

It's what popular music seems to be about these days. It's not about actual talent or skill, it's about getting and keeping attention. Look at some the most popular women in pop music right now. Most show lots of skin, have bizarre videos promoting sex and straight up weirdness . I look a christina, britney, rihanna, gaga, beyonce and the rest and think... really??? ??? Do you really need to do all of that :bootyshake:?  They all, including miley, just want to create controversy to keep our attention. The PTC slammed her video, but it will make some people who have never seen it check Youtube just to see what they're talking about.

:cat:  She is definitely trying her best to distance herself from the younger audience.  Real shame...

My 13 year old and 5 year old watch her show everyday on the disney channel. Well that was until today. I saw what happened to Brittany and I won't let my girls have Miley as someone they look up to from this point on.

It's just a bad idea to promote a teen singer as kid friendly.  They all grow up some day.

I don't expect her career to last much longer.

Sex sells and she is starting to get to old for the Disney channel. So she is trying to make a new image for herself.

I do not see anything wrong with her nor Britney Spears. We all have breaking points in Britney's case, hers (since being in the public) was publicly aired. Miley is growing up and with that she can decide for herself what she wants to do. My oldest daughter loves her and just because of the simple fact she is growing up will not change my mind on letting my daughter be her own person and liking whom she wants to. I might not and do not like everything my daughters like but that is what is called individuality and that is something I will not force away from my children.

Well, I personally wouldn't want my daughter or my granddaughters being influenced by the sex being oozed from her new video (including suggestive behavior with the grinding/same-sex approval.)  That's my opinion.

I watched the video. It was not racy at all, but the music royally sucked. So there's that to complain about.

I don't understand why someone would think a girl could come out of disney without being trashy... These girls are trying to recover from being molested by the disney corporation. If you don't know what I'm talking about, even "E!" said they were all F@%^n' Goofy.

It's not Disney's fault so much as society's fault. She's just imitating all the other celebrities and no one's going to stop her.

Her dad doesn't stop her. In fact he took creepy "sexy" photos with her. Remember that?
And she's already pole-danced at a concert. Isn't is partially all these mom's faults for letting their children support this crap and buying them concert tickets?

So, it's nothing new that she's setting a bad example for kids, and you can't blame Disney, blame her, other celebs, her father, and the mothers of all these little girls.

I completely Agree! That is why my hubby and I have decided to pull the plug on her in our house. If more people would stop buying tickets, watching her shows and movies-It would send a message and believe me there is a reason why they target market our kids age groups with Britney and Miley because they know us parents will go out and buy their handbags, shirts, jeans, ect. because we want our girls happy. If the consumer stops buying their paychecks stop. If Miley wants to appeal to the older audience then I say let her go for it but I have had it with my girls being influenced in any way by these people. Are we raising our girls to have self-respect and dignity(that actually use their brains) or to be on playboy?

Well I saw the video. And I was more upset with the song than the video. The music was horrible. :(

Thank you for being a good mother.
