Title: Equifax Credit Score Now
Post by: oonamas on November 09, 2010, 02:46:43 pm
Just completed this offer for $8!!! It credited pretty fast (within a few minutes) although I never got an e-mail saying it had credited. I also didn't get an e-mail saying I'd signed up. At first I didn't think it worked, when I was towards the end of signing up where it was supposed to take me to my credit report I ended up getting an error screen. But then I saw the $8 show up, and I went back and logged in and it turned out there was my report and score for today! So if you think this offer didn't work, just go to the regular Equifax site and see if you can login. Anyhoo, great offer! Thanks FC

I can't believe more people aren't doing this offer! Maybe they're scared away by the high payout. It really is a freebie, tho! (as long as you cancel in time).

I have this credit also. When I clicked the link I thought it said 7 day free trial, but on equifax it says 30 days?
Was it just for the equifax score or was the trial for all 3 scores?

I actually received this credit about a week ago for $13.60.  I was surprised that it cleared so quickly and happy at the same time too.  But I notice that I didn't receive an email from the company saying that I signed up.  But I made sure to keep on it so I wont get charged.

I tried it, got through the payment part and then the last part that says Congrats, you're one step away from viewing your reports I got an error message.
It said couldn't find log in credentials for Equifax.

Does anyone have the ph# to customer service. I need to confirm I won't get charged. I did provide my CC#, but didn't get an email or anything.

Thanks

Tweety - I got the error message too, but then I saw the $8 credited to my account. I went back to the Equifax site and logged in (I had a previous login from buying scores from them before) and the Credit Score Now stuff was all there. So DEFINITELY call Equifax to cancel, or try logging in to see if it really went through ESPECIALLY if you get the $8 credited to your account. You probably are signed up, even if you haven't seen anything from them yet.

vmi1991 - I'm a little confused about the free trial days too. Equifax's site said 30, but I think FC said 9? Maybe it was 7. Anyway, I haven't been charged yet, so I think it's 30 days. I saw the same $8 offer through Inboxdollars, and they said 30 days.

I tried the equifax offer twice today.  First time, after I entered my cc info, i got an error message saying, ' we have been unable to locate your credit report on the information you provided.  A customer service representative will be able to ask you additional questions and find your record and complete your enrollment.'  I checked my cc statement online and a $1 charge is pending.  So I called the equifax number and spoke with someone who told me that my account wasn't activated when i tried the first time, so to try reenrolling again.  So I did and I got the same error message again, another $1 came out of my cc.  I called again and this rep told me to try reenrolling again.  Anyone else have a problem with the equifax offer?

I attempted this offer. I went through the registration, putting my SSN and all that info.

Then it said this:

Processing Error
We are sorry, but we can't process your order at this time.
Please call our customer service department at 1-866-343-3879 to assist you.

p.s. I think it may be cause I have done an Equifax offer in the past, so I guess I'm just gonna discard this offer.

Good luck to the rest of you!

How long did it take everyone to get their credit for the Equifax?

Be careful to read the fine print on those credit report offers. They all vary with when you can cancel the free trial. I know a couple years ago, I got screwed into a $14.95 payment for the next month because I thought I had more days than I really did.  :sad1:

Since the credit score is a major part of our every day of our life, it would be nice to know what it is.  When I get back to the office, I will sign up for this and thanks for letting me know to cancel within 7 days...

When I talked with equifax they say it is 30 days that all these site put shorter days due to wanting to make sure their members know they need to cancel if they do not want to pay.

Are you sure that you did it correctly? I think mine credited within an hour. Did you get all the way through to seeing your score? If not, might want to try again.

I got a free copy of my score and credit report.  When I asked for support on it they said it can take up to 7 days for some of the offers.  If it does not ny mid next week then I will look more into it.  Support also told me not to cancel until after I get the credit.  Good thing its 30 days for free.

I've been looking to see if anyone got paid for doing credit scores.  I'm excited!  I'm going to do this one so I can cashout! ;D
