The only problem is it's hard to know who is real and who is fake when looking for at home jobs. I don't want a job that charges me to get hired, I want a job that hires me and pays me. It seems all the at home jobs want to charge you money to work. I'm really nervous about giving money to get a job. Do any of you know of a legitimate work at home job?

Post by: bretay on January 29, 2011, 09:50:51 pm: I quit work in 2001 to keep my granddaughter.Well they are both in school now and i would love to find a job on the internet to do.But I do not want to pay for the job,doesn't seem quite right.I'm supposed to get paid,not pay them.I don't really have a lot of time as I have to pick them up at school and get homework done before their mother picks them up.I only have a few hours in the morning to do anything,so something online would be great.

Then it really would be nice to go to an office and see people every day. I'd really like to work part time, I guess, because there's so much around the house that I wish I had more time for.

Post by: samiole32 on March 24, 2011, 06:42:05 am: I don't care where I work I only care to have work with good earning, I am staying at home mom and I am waiting my little daughter a year and half now to grow up a little more then I will start searching for a job, I can't leave her in a day care while she can't talk and tell me what bothers her or what's wrong, I like my kids to feel safe and comfortable this is why I am staying at home with them right now.

When I look back over the time I feel that I missed alot of my sons life even having had jobs that allowed me a lot of freedem to be avaible to do what I need for my son. I still feel that I was spilting my time in to many directions and that when I was doing some of the things with him he was not getting my full attention. Now that I am trying to work from home I am able to schedule things around his time and we have talked about me being home and the changes that it has made both money wise and time wise. And we have found that going without some of the extras are worth the time that we are able to spend together, this is coming from a teenager that would normally not want to be around mom or dad as much.

At the office atleast i will find someone so that i will not get bored. I like to work only 6hrs a day but sadly i have to work 8hrs to earn my income

Yeah, I totally agree with the daycare issue. My son is 2 1/2 and although he can read, he is still "quiet", saying some words here and there, but not complete sentences. I am raising him from home until he is about 4 and can go to Pre-K. But with the way things are now, I will probably continue to stay at home and work. I never get bored around the house. If I am not working on the computer, I am cooking, cleaning, talking on the phone or doing something outside. I am lucky if I get the chance to sit down for more than 30 minutes! lol ;)

So anything to be able to earn money in any way right now is what I need. I dont want to keep asking my parents for money that's why id rather work.

I wouldnt mind paying as an investment, but I just don't feel confident I'm really going to get paid. I sure hope I come across something soon. What about you?

It was hard at first to make the same amount from home that I used to make working outside of the home, plus I miss having benefits, but I DO NOT miss getting up in the morning, getting dressed, commuting in traffic, or having to manage (actually it felt more like babysitting) grown people lol.

There are both advantages and disadvantages - but I like the serenity of my home & don't regret ever leaving the hussle and bussle of work outside the home.

Post by: gomiago on June 08, 2011, 04:00:40 pm: I think a little of both, I had to quit my job just a little over a year ago, we had a litter of puppies and someone had to be here 24/7, and since my husband job is goverment I was able to quite, even though their's been time's where it's been tough, we have show dog's and that can get expensive, plus we have one that's deaf, so for him someone should be here . I do miss being out there interacting and talking with people, I don't do it as much. Anyway's I would say a little of both. :wave:

I know some people who have been on their jobs for 20 or more years and they only go into the office once a week. Sounds good to me. :)

Actually both. Which is what I do now. Except I'd rather be a part time worker. I'm full time at work and with all the survey sites I a member I spend alot of time on the computer at home.

I quite working outside about three years ago and yes it isnt always easy and i need the money to be more constant buti love all the benefits that come from working at home. I wont ever go back.

I love spending more time with my daughter and being able to go to functions at her school without having to beg for the time off from work to do it. Also, I had an hour commute to my last job. Staying home takes away the long drives and saves on a lot of gas money.

Can't quit my day jobs yet but I really wish I could make the same kind of money online. I live pretty cheaply so I think it can be done if I find the right niche.

However, when I have a few minutes or a few hours, I find work here or on some other sites and work. It's less than minimum wage, but it's still income and I can wear what I want w/o going anywhere or maintaining a car- just a computer and internet.

I do not have pjs so it does not matter to me. I always worked inside in a computer lab with the temp. always not to hot or not to cold . I could of wore my Pjs to work. Worked the midnight shift. Only 5 night crew people. One girl used to bring her children with her to work. She would have the guards at the gate call ahead if our super came in.

I got a job on our corporate research team and my local account didn't have room to keep me in the local office - so I've been working from home for a little over a year now. Absolutely love it! I get so much more work done than I ever did in the office - as I don't get people stopping by my cube to chat as I'm trying to get a program done or listen on a conference call. Also worked out very well last winter when I was snowed in for a couple days after a few nasty blizzards.

I need to work outside the home to be around others & keep up with the world (and it pays better) but I also like to work at home so I can multi task & keep up with my housework. I also care for my ill mother so it's easier to do when working from home. I don't have to worry about her as much as i do when I am away at work.

Did my last two educational degrees online and love the self-scheduling aspect. Working from home means I can balance everything that is important in my life therefore giving myself to have energy to do all the things I value. Great way to balance yourself is to be your own boss all the way around. There are always ways to make money, that is not the issue. Finding ways to do what you love to do while doing that is the trick. :cat:

However, the dark side of that whole thing is that even though I'm on vacation for the next week, I'm expected to cover all of my meeting and cover 24/7 for my job still. Being able to work from wherever makes it so the company EXPECTS you to be working from wherever ALL.OF.THE.TIME.

Such is the life of a quality data analysis engineer. :(

I still cannot find one, but I just use websites like FusionCash, Cashcrate, and MadMoneyGPT to earn some extra change.

Don't ever pay for a job. Some legitimate online jobs do ask you to pay for your own background check, that's okay. I have a friend who's daughter does customer service from home and her company has you pay for your background check. She's been doing that for two years. Unfortunately for me they're not MAC compatible. Someone in her company did recommend Fusion Cash though so here I am. :dontknow:

I have another friend who does mystery shopping through Market Force and a few other companies. I live in a small town and don't have a car so it doesn't help me, but they may have opportunities in your area. :dontknow:

I do like working in an office but the unneccessary interuptions and stupid meetings can be very counter productive. It is also more expensive to work outside of the house because you, generally, need to pay for transportation. Working for yourself is much more rewarding because you can usually determine how hard your work and the amount of the reward for working.

Working from home gives you the oportunity of being with family all the time and it doesn't give you a chance to miss them. You appeciate family more when you miss them atleast for a couple of hours.
