When I was a kid, we had a lemonade stand, don't recall making a whole lot of money.  My youngest daughter and her friend set one up out side a bar and grill.  They had it made.  The owner gave them the ice and water and something to eat.  They averaged 30 - 40 dollars a day.  Most of the time the people would pay before going into the bar and tell them that they would pick up the lemonade drink when they came out.  Well the girls couldn't stay that long.

When I was a teenager I used to babysit. Made decent money. Over one summer I had made enough to buy my mom some jewelry, a ring for her birthday. I was happy. :)

Did several things actually...

*Cut grass, rake yards, etc...
*Help parents paint house (inside and out) for extra allowance money.
*Walk dogs.
*Got some number stencils and spray painted house numbers on curbs for $5 each (didn't take too long). Pizza delivery guys sure loved that.  lol
*Lemonade stand once or twice
*Carry trash out in apartment complex for elderly folks.  Got a dollar or two for that.
*Sold an untold amount of button badges made by Badge-A-Minit machine (have to invest a few $$$ for machine and button parts).  Did my own designs and printing though.

Babysitting was always good to make some extra money...I have been doing mystery shopping for almost 8 years now. I think yard sales is a great way also.

Would LOVE to do mystery shopping, however never could find a reputable company that wasn't a scam, or wanted money for a list of companies, or a manual or some such.

How do people find reputable mystery shopping jobs?

When I was in high school, I made money baby sitting.  I have sit up at flea markets and did real good.  I made jam cakes and sell at flea market and made coconut cakes and sold them too.  I also made fried pies and made crafts and set up at flea market.  Another way to make money is clean houses for people.
