I am really woe, cos now my husband has to raise our 3(we couple and a baby), he works hard, but income is low,I want to find a job, but even though, I do not have a car to go to work, I do not even have driver license.
If it is possible, I can break the coins into halves and spend.
I heard there is gov. assistance, isn't it? they help low income family?

Yes there is govt. assistance, but it all depends on your income. I know that here, the govt. will give you food stamps, medical insurance, and help with your heating bill. You would have to go to your local Department of Health and Human Resources to see if you qualify.

Are you a U.S. citizen? I am only asking because you sound as if you might be from another country in the way that you speak/write. If you are not, it will make a difference as to how much help you can get from the government. If you are a citizen, then you need to contact some local offices like dawn21207 said and find out what your options are. They (the options) are out there, but YOU have to do the work to get the help. No one is going to come knocking on your door and hand you money.

Yes there is hope out there. But the problem is so many people out of work that the resources are dwindleing. Hope you find help soon God bless you :)

There is help out there, but there are draw-backs to receiving the help also, the best advice that I am able to give you at this time is to call your local HHS (Department of Health & Human Services) to find out just what you may be eligible for, or even at times just going to a local food pantry can help out, just ideas for you to think about.

keep searching for a job! If youre having trouble finding one facetoface check craigslist for odd jobs in your city, not a longterm solution but may help a little for now! I would say government assistance should be an absolute last resort as it is not the governments job to provide us with resources

I know this from experience because I am currently receiving unemployment, food stamps, WIC, HUD, and my daughter has CHIP. Every three months I have to bring in documentation of my income, where I have been looking for jobs, and sit for interviews before I get renewed. It is worth it to me because it ensures my family gets fed, has a roof over our heads, and that I have a little money coming in to buy diapers and toilet paper. I have been looking for a job for quite some time now, and it is easier said than done to find one. You're an inspiration to everyone, soldier! I have a couple of friends who are in the same boat who don't have half the problems you're weighed down with, and they tell me how they feel. The fact that you can have this positive and educational attitude about this is the essence of strength. HOO-AH!

This is definately true. I am currently receiving unemployment because I lost my job back in September. It was not an easy task to get and in order to keep it I have to file my claims every two weeks and show proof of ANY form of income. My unemployment is less than half of what I made at my job, which wasn't very much to begin with. Like the person I quoted, I am not using this as a way to "work the system" or anything like that. Some people really do need these services, hopefully for just a short amount of time while they find a new job.

I used to think that people on government assistance were lazy. My eyes have been opened recently as I look all around me and see good, honest, hard-working people losing their jobs, through no fault of their own, losing their homes, unable to pay bills. It seems to be everywhere. I sometimes wonder how much worse it has to get before people are out in the streets of America with pitch forks and torches demanding that the government stop taking and wasting so much money. I feel bad now for having such a harsh opinion of others and judging people without knowing their circumstances.

Yes, we should work as hard as possible and be self-sufficient, but it used to be a fact that in America if you worked hard and applied yourself you could achieve and live comfortably. I fear those days are now gone. I just hope it isn't for good.
As I watched the celebration this weekend of Ronald Reagan's life, I remembered how he always made us feel that everything was going to be ok. I wish he were here today.

It is aggravating, though, especially when you come across people who continue to look down upon you for it. How many times have I heard "When I was growing up, my mom was single and she had to raise my sibling and myself on $400 a week and she never went to use food stamps." Uh, news flash... when you were growing up, she wouldn't qualify! Look down on us if you must, but $400 a week sounds like good money to me! Poor baby for having to buy generic groceries; your pain cuts me deep. Meanwhile I'm doing everything I can to feed my family on $300 a month (and I've been able to do it for quite some time). Screw those people who feel they have the right to say something about the government helping poor families keep food on their tables. That negativity has no place in my life, and I have no qualms about saying so, right before cutting those people out of my life.

and amyrouse is also here making a little extra money. Most people click a few days and see small amounts of money in their account and quit. Everyone wants big money now. I understand that mind set because if you are suffering or scared you want relief now, but if you keep your head calm and get a plan together and keep working toward improving things, I do think that things get better. I am going through a rough patch myself and not really because of anything I did wrong. In fact, it is because I am trying to do the right thing by taking care of my elderly mom. Money from programs like Fusion Cash have helped keep me going. I am not rich yet, but over the last two years I have built things up so that I get several checks each month from various programs and they do seem to get a little bigger every month.
I also reach out and collaborate with others like me and I feel we help each other and get more done to help us earn. By all means if anyone is struggling I think they should try to qualify for help anywhere they can get it. And don't overlook your local churches. There are several around here who have helped my friend with four kids keep her heat on over the winter.
Hopefully the economy will cure itself soon and we can all breathe a sigh of relief. Blessings to everyone.

Yes..the economy is bad and I agree with some of the recent posts that most people on government aid aren't just lazy people who don't want to work. Besides, those days of the the "welfare queen" are pretty much over. I am currently unemployed and while looking for a job discovered that I have a disability. I am now awaiting that process. Believe me, as someone who has worked since 9 years old, this is extremely hard. Sometimes, I feel useless and non productive. Thank God for sites like FusionCash. While I'm not getting rich on here, I AM making some money to take care of some issues. Sometimes I have to remind myself that I DID pay into the social security system and am just getting some of that back. Nonetheless, it is hard. Hang in there, things will get better and effort always pays off!!! :thumbsup:

I agree with you, I too am receiving assistance as a single disabled mother of one. I lost my job because of medical conditins and had no other alternative but to get assistance and apply for SSDI because my conditons have worsened and my TDI ran out..I am still fighting and positive that that I will get better by getting all the treatments, but it isn't helping.
So yes I know what it feels like to be looked down on because of my financial troubles. I am not lazy I have worked all my life for the past 12 years and more than one job at a time! I just hate it when people pass judgement when they know absolutely nothing about a person. I have always earned everything that I have from the sweat off my forehead. Now I am struggling just to get by and feed my daughter, I gotta say I am grateful for the assistance! Because without that I don't know where we'd be today. God Bless!

i am in the same shoes as you are, i seved 3 tours in iraq, became disabled in the since, i find it hard to keep a job for my brain dont function well anymore, but there is assinctance out there, to help, my wife works but only part time, and i am on here trying to get a little income, we go to food banks to get food so we me,wife,daughter dont go hungry, rent is covered with VA Disabilty, but still fighting the SSA for it.....

Never sait it was just sitting back with your hand out, just that it should be a last resort as it seems like it is in your case.

You could sign up for gamefly or netflix(NOT BOTH), and let that be your entertainment and then slave at work until income tax season. Try to read the bible once and awhile to.

Great discussion everyone. I'm in the same boat. I'm on EBT and hate all the hoops I have to jump through. I seem to be one qualification short for every job I'd "like" and there's little encouragement for self employment. Then my car needs an engine and there's the painful arthritis in my feet... sigh. I'm trying everything I can just to keep the roof over my head and get through to better times. It's a lot of work being broke. I do not recommend it.
Hang in there everyone. We're surrounded by examples of cycles in this world: night to day, winter to spring, etc. It will get better.

I got to admit I don't know how you guys deal with bills(real ones anyway) i'm glad the only bill(which is fake) I have to deal with is gamefly and creditreport.
