I have one in my den, dining room and bedroom. I use the ones in the den (where my computer desk is) and the one in my bedroom quite a bit in the summer. In the summer I turn down my air at night and just use the fan.
Do you change the direction of the fan and use it in the winter? I know that can be done, but I never do it. It just never feels right to have it going in the wintertime.
-
Yup, I have a ceiling fan in my living room. I just use it in the summer months and I will sometimes open the windows too. I would like to get a AC some day before it gets too hot here.
-
We have a ceiling fan that is seldom used because we had a heat pump with A/C installed a few years ago. On some nice days, we open the windows and turn on the fan. (The cat likes to sit in the open windows.) :)
-
I have one in my kitchen, living room and my bedroom. I have to have it on at night when I sleep or else it is too still for me . I like the air blowing on me.
-
Yes I have one in every room of my house.
-
We have ceiling fans in every room except our bathrooms and I wish we could have them there. They are among the great inventions. I have never reversed our fans for the winter though. Might try it sometime.
-
We have them in the family room and all bedrooms. Only use them during the summer with the A/C.
-
There is one at the apartment I'm at. The ceilings are very high here and the fan does nothing to keep the heat down. Personally I think they are not worth the money buying or installing.
-
we have one in the living room an in the master bedroom (which i my mom's room), i did live in a house that had one in everyroom, including the bathroom. lol
-
Yep, in almost every room of the house. We use them all the time...but especially in the summer because we do not have A/C
-
Yes, we have two one in sunroom and one in bedroom.
-
One in every room 'except' the kitchen and bathroom......Although I think one in the bath room would really be nice in the summer.
-
I'm going to install 2 of them, hopefully before the warm weather hits. One in the living room, and one in the Master Bedroom. It would be nice to have one especially in the bedroom to sleep. Even though I live in the mountains, some nights it doesn't cool down, and a fan would be nice to switch on overhead. There's already flat plates in the ceilings, and wall switches on the walls for them. Just have to buy the fans.
-
We have AC units and stand-up fans, which do OK. I'll def get a ceiling fan when I'm not just renting.
-
We have three in our house, one in the family room, one in the master bedroom and one in the guest room. During the summertime, it is great to turn them on and they help cool down the house...
-
I have one in the master bedroom and I love it. Just the perfect amount of light air moving at night during the summer. I've used it occasionally over the winter on nights where the room felt a little stuffy just to get some air moving so I could sleep comfortably.
I'm seriously thinking about getting one for the living room sometime. It has vaulted ceilings, and over the winter, the room seems a bit uneven in temperature some days. I'm thinking having one in there will help even out the heat in winter, and save in the summer by just moving air to keep cool so I can reduce use of the AC.
-
I actually had to look up, ha ha. I move too much.
-
yes I have a ceiling fan, it is located in my bedroom. I turn it on every night when I am ready to go to sleep!
-
No :(
-
Yep, sure do! I have a total of 5 ceiling fans and 4 others. For a few years I didn't have a ceiling fan in my bedroom, and it sucked!! We keep at least 4 (out of all them) running continuously. Gotta keep that air circulating! (: On nice weather days, a window or two gets opened up as well.
-
Yes. We have one in each bedroom and one in the family room. It is nice to be able to circulate the air. The kids really like theirs
-
yes have 5 one in each bedroom one in grate room and one in the kitchen.
-
I have one in every room in the house, but the bathroom. I'm using them right now.
-
Yes, I have ceiling fans in every room except the bathroom, although sometimes when I am getting fixed up to go out during those humid months, I need one in there also.
-
yes i have one in my kitchen
-
No ceiling fans here, but sure wish I had one in the L room & bedroom. I live on the 10th floor, rarely use my AC, but if I had a ceiling fan probably wouldn't use it all. To sleep I have to have plenty of air flow, & fresh air. In the winter, I turn the heat low at night & keep my bedroom window open about 1/4". In the summer it is open & I have two fans blowing towards me from different directions. I would love to have a ceiling fan, but it is not permitted in this building.
-
I would love to put one in my livingroom as I spend most evenings there.
-
es I have a ceiling fan in bedroom and livingroom but how clean are they? I spend alot of time keeping the blades looking dust free.
-
In my house we have a ceiling fan in every room.
-
Yes. I have one in both of my downstairs bedrooms and one in the kitchen and one in the living room. During the winter we switch the bedrooms and living room but, not the kitchen. The one in my living room goes almost all the time.
-
i have on right above my bed, i didnt know it was possible to change the direction but i used it every night this winter while i was still pregnant. plus another fan next to me too.
-
Nope but I wish I did. :) I'd tie up a toy helicopter to it: http://d3uwin5q170wpc.cloudfront.net/photo/77874_700b.jpg

The grandkids (boys) have had fun tossing things at a fan and seeing if it would bat them somewhere. We had a rentalhouse one year on vacation and it had a room that was two stories high. It had a ceiling fan. The boys would go to the second floor, lean over the balcony and toss rolled up socks at the fan. One of the pair of socks landed on a two story ledge across the room. The next year we had the same house and the socks were still up there.
-
I have to admit that I have several ceiling fans, but I'm afraid to turn them on. It's weird, but I have a fear of ceiling fans.
-
No, I don't have one, but I really want to get one in the living room
-
Yes, I only have one that is in the living room and it puts out a whole lot of air.
-
We installed one a long time ago in the kitchen but we took it out when we redid the kitchen I really miss it when it is warm or hot out I find that we use the A/C more now that we don't have the fan.
-
Yes they are wonderful!
-
I have ceiling fans in the Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room and Bathroom and have them going all the time in the summer.
-
They're great, they really help with cooling the house down during our humid Virginia summers and springs.
-
I have a ceiling fan in the front room and everyone of the bedrooms which is four rooms their will come in hand when the summer comes around
-
nope, don't need it. Just use ac in the summer. It would be nice tho
-
yea 2 and niether work
-
I have one in my kitchen, living room and my bedroom. I have to have it on at night when I sleep or else it is too still for me . I like the air blowing on me.
i dont have a ceiling fan but i use a fan at night when i sleep....it feels good and i think it helps u sleep better
-
I used to live in a home that have one ceiling fan in the living room before the house was sold to a new homeowner. We only use it during the summer time when the heat is unbearable.
-
I have one ceiling fan in my room. I live in a studio so only need one. I try to use it as much as I can in the summer so I don't have to waste electricity by using the AC. I never use it during the winter or even spring here...
-
I have two ceiling fans. One in my bedroom and one in the living room. I would like to have one put in the kitchen. I know I can save on my bills, using a ceiling fan instead of the AC. ;D
