I hate the dentist. Just saying, they should know if you have a small mouth like I do, Its hard to "open wide"
Ughh Sore jaws are no fun!

I don't like any dentist but, I'm glad to have them check my teeth. I like the dentist even more when I was a kid because I use to get stickers and tooth brushes LOL. Now, its just a nightmare for me to see any dentist because I usually get bad news :( I wish I could start over with new teeth and I will do much better job of taking care of my teeth.

I was always afraid of the "Dentist" when I was a child, but as I've gotten older...don't tend to bother me so much.

I actually just went to the dentist this afternoon. I actually like going. I like getting my teeth cleaned!

I don't particularly like to go and will avoid it when possible BUT I try to make myself go because getting my teeth cleaned and getting cavities found when they are little is much cheaper than having major work done down the road! The cost is of course always the biggest issue. Dentists are REALLY expensive and even with dental insurance it can be a pain in the neck to come up with the dough.

I didnt get to go the dentist until i was 18 years old and by then ireally needed butr i dont mind going at all i like nitroxicide.

i hate the dentist......its like making an appointment for a punch in the face, but we all have to go......i go twice a year

guess it is one of those people that no one likes to visit but should go twice a year for cleanings preventive dentistry is best kind so big problems don't happen later.

I don't mind going to the dentist. The only time I hate it is when I have to have a filling it's not too bad either it's the noise of the tools that drive me crazy. It's like I associate the noise of the tools with pain. If they made quiet tools it wouldn't bother me as much. I would think it's less painful with quieter tools.

i don't really mind the dentist either -- important to have everything checked out and the more regularly you do that the less the chance of having major issues which cause more pain/discomfort, etc
I don't like the fillings -- I'm not really sure anyone really LOVES the dentist -- but a normal cleaning is a good thing!

I had no problems with the dentist until two years ago when I had severe pain. They did a root canal and I still had severe pain. I had to go to a specialist and he discovered it was a cracked tooth. I felt a whole lot better once I got it removed.

I cracked a molar so I feel your pain. Exposed nerves hurt like he**.
My dentist decided to save the tooth rather than pull it.
A crown did the trick.

I actually like the dentists I want my teeth to be in good condition so I know its good when the check and clean them!

It's one of those necessary things you gotta do. Not my favorite thing. I have an appointment in 3 weeks myself, and cringe each time thinking he's going to find something else to drill. They should call it something else. Drilling reminds me of getting oil or ore....not something I want to do in my teeth.
The person who mentioned the "sound" of the instruments bother me also. I can also smell smoke or sometimes see it. Now what in the world would do that? Scary! I hate the shots of Novacaine, where they have to keep shooting and poking you over and over. Not like a shot in the bum and your done.

I hate the dentists and doctors lol....I don't like to go to either place and i do not like needles at all!!!

I hate going to the dentist. My dentist is a nice person, I just don't like having a sore mouth after my visit. However, I am thankful for that I don't have any cavities. As much as I dislike going to the dentist, regular dental visits are an important part of having good health.

I also hate them. but I have to go them atleast twice in a year. to keep the mouth clean

Hate going to see them, hate seeing the sound which drives me crazy.

last time I went to the dentist, he told me I had cavities and I needed to get them filled, then I went back 6 months later and I had no cavities and I never got them filled. >_>

I hate the dentist because I have terrible teeth. The scary part is that I'm do to have my wisdom teeth pulled soon :-

I hope my teeth always white straight and shining so I have no reason to hate dentists. I was afraid of dentists when I was little though.

I had always found a dentist that would put you to sleep when they pulled a tooth. Afraid of them in the worst way. But 2 years ago my gums were hurting so bad I could not eat. I went to the only dentist that could get me in at that time and he could not put me to sleep unless he put me in hospital and he said that would cost me $5000.00 so I told him to deaden them and he did and pulled 3 teeth. I did not feel a thing. Guess I was scared for nothing.

I have never been the one to like going to the dentist! I think that when I was younger I was ok with it but not crazy about it! Now that I am older I dread it like crazy! Maybe because I now know just how much it costs to go!!!!!!

i have the same problem and its funny to me when the dentist is in my mouth my tongue dances tell him to leave my teeth alone sore for hours man it was so bad had to go back the next day not happy

I hate going to the dentist, but I go twice a year for checking and cleaning. But when it comes time for anesthesia with a needle, I really develop a big anxiety attack. I hate needles.

the only bad parts are the scraping at the beginning and the paste stuff they grind on your teeth
