Title: So we are buying our first home

They accepted our offer - it's a forclosure - bad news is someone broke into it and stole all the copper plumbing.  Good news is the bank is going to fix all of the damage - wonder how long it will take...it's a 3 bdr with 3.19 acres of land on a private drive - it took us over a year, but we found our dream house!

A first home is very exciting.  We bought our first home over 40 years ago.  It cost $14,500; we renovated it and sold it for $25,000.  :)    Unbelievable!!!!

Congrats on buying your first house.  It is such a big jump, a risky jump, but one that you will enjoy.  Have fun transforming it from a house to a home.

WooHoo! That's so exciting! After we pay our car off, we'll be saving up for a home too, hopefully with some land....we want horses someday! What are you going to do with all that space?!

I guess we just wanted a big yard because we didn't want close neighbors - more privacy.  There are trees and things around, I think it will be fun for my kids.

CONGRATS!!!! That's very exciting! I'm glad that the bank said that they would pay for the damage. I have heard of people having problems getting the bank to fix anything that happened due to foreclosure.
