For the last month there is someone who rings the doorbell & knocks on the door pretty much different times each day. I suspect it is my mentally challenged neighbor who use to clean my yard 2 years ago who I let go b/c I couldn't afford it anymore. He would do this everyday, one time @ 8am which if I've opened the door I would have ripped his head of his shoulders. Roasted it & feed to my cats! I am not a morning person. Sometimes at noon & others after dinner. I can't understand why someone would continue to ring the door bell after nobody answers it. I am private person, I know who will be coming to my house. If you don't have an appointment or planned meeting with me; I don't care if you're the president or god. I'm not opening the door! What pisses me off most is he isn't thinking that maybe the reason why I'm not opening the door is because I'm trying to sleep in the day b/c I have a night job. I don't open my door if I not expecting someone b/c I'm scared. About 3 months ago, I stupidly open the door b/c the be a good & nice little girl brain washing took over. It was some idiot trying to get gas money from me b/c his car ran out of gas. I told the guy no & slammed the door shut. After that , I really don't open my door b/c the door bell rings. I don't know what to do. I feel like a prisoner in my own home. It's so silly, I don't think the cops would think this was serious enough. knowing how the cops did a crappy job on my flat 37' flat screen tv stolen last year. I shouldn't waste minutes call them for help. I'm stuck don't know what to do! :dontknow:

I THINK THAT YOU SHOULD CALL THE COPS THATS YOUR LIFE YOUR TALKING ABOUT AND TO BE CAREFUL GET A DOG TO AND HAVE FRIENDS OVER AND TAKE PICTURES OF THIS PERSON EACH TIME YOU CAN CATCH THEM CAUSE THIS PERSON SOUNDS CREEPY TELL THE COPS ABOUT HIM TO :sad1:

That's totally creepy. Call the cops so they will at least have it on file for future use!!!!

Perhaps you should consider moving. If you feel threatened or unsafe in your own home, by all means call the cops. Sometimes a change in scenery can alleviate the stress and allow you to feel more secure. We have wacky neighbors too. The more we ignore them, the more they try to get our attention. That was until we installed both visible and hidden cameras. Amazing....Instead of moving, install a camera or something that looks like one.

Definitely contact the authorities! In this day and time, you have to take all actions available to protect your family. Don't put anything past anyone ~ people are deceptive.

Yes you never know you may be preventing another crime or tradegy so i would deffinitley.

Yes I recommend that you call the police.

Before you contact police, you need to be absolutely certain that the person you are accusing is in fact the culprit. You'll need solid proof, and not just your suspicion, before the police could even attempt to do anything to help. Also, you may try putting out signs of 'No Soliciting' and 'No Trespassing', as well as install a camera to monitor your front door, etc. Always keep your doors and windows locked (gates too) and if you don't already have one, get a peep-hole installed so that you can safely see who's at the door and be sure to keep a porch light on (front and back). You may also want to keep curtains/blinds closed. Good luck, and stay safe!

Definitely call the cops and let them know what is going on even if your next door neighbor is mentally challenged. I don't open my door to anyone unless I know they are coming by or I know them well. This person could become worse with the bell ringing. Someone needs to talk to him or whoever he lives with. Sounds like things have gotten out of control.

they are aware of anything about this guy and

never know if a person could be dangerous.

i would call the cops so they could watch, try to take a note of when they come so you can tell the cops and they could drive by and find out that is scary!

Sounds like you should call the police....he may be doing it to other neighbors too

Yeah i think its best if you just call the police, or get a restraining warrant so that he'll stop at least.

Id get a dog (a mean one) that way if he steps foot on ur property the dog ill take care of him =)

You said you suspected that the culprit is your neighbor. Did you see him do this?
