Post by: MYKRLuciano on March 29, 2011, 08:41:35 am
Well I am the baby girl out of three children in my house. But eventhough I am the baby sister I have to be the mother, advicer and I like being the best friend but the other once mmmm not really. My older sister cant sometimes go to my mom to ask her for money so I have to do that. ANd my brother is a big time lier so I clean that up and guide him. Now when I have a problem I dont know where to run. Oh boy I need to ask mom for a little brother or sister  :- but she is 63....

I understand how that goes. Happened with me growing up. I was the one raising myself and my older sister. As I got older, I became the 'keeper' for more people. For years, I've been the one holding everyone else up and doing my best to keep things in order and keep things moving. I too had nowhere to turn and no one to lean on to catch my breath. Still trying to catch it too. After putting up with it for so long (and feeling like 'If I don't do it, no one will') I finally sorta put it out there that it's not my job to 'clean up' after everyone. They're grown and they need to look after themselves because it's long past time for me to take care of myself for a change. So now, it's become a bit easier breathe. Perhaps you should do the same?

Wisdom doesn't have anything to do with age. It's good that you are able to advise your siblings. But you can't do it for them forever. You may do them dis-service in long term.
